GUNS N' ROSES: 'Chinese Democracy' To Surface In November?

According to Pause & Play, Geffen Records has set a November 29, 2005 release date for the long-awaited GUNS N' ROSES album, "Chinese Democracy". "Chinese Democracy" will feature the band's first new music since "Oh My God", the group's contribution to the soundtrack to the 1999 movie "End of Days". GUNS N' ROSES' last studio album was a covers CD, "The Spaghetti Incident?", which was released in 1993. In March 2004, Geffen Records issued a GUNS N' ROSES "Greatest Hits" album, which has since gone on to sell 2,195,937 copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. GUNS N' ROSES singer Axl Rose and fellow original members Slash and Duff McKagan tried to block the "Greatest Hits" album's release by arguing in a lawsuit that Geffen Records was putting out the CD without their input. Geffen officials countered that they wouldn't have released the album if Rose had delivered the long-promised album "Chinese Democracy", which has been in the works for 10 years.

Why do they even bother? Why do I even bother? My hopes we're crushed in 2001 when they "cancelled" the european tour... Which probably wasn't even confirmed... Well, here's hoping that Axl will release it, realize what a prick he's been and come out of his shell and reunite the guns for one last tour... Not that I think it'll happen...

It's finally going to come out is because Axl has decided to leave the band. It's either going to be all instrumental or they will get that Marky Mark dude from Steel Dragon to re-do all the vocals.
He turned down the vacant spot in Van Halen recently.

I work 12 hours a day at my real job, and even I can put out a metal album in 3 months. And, I play all the instruments. This thing is never gonna show, and even if it does, it will totally suck. You might get 3 ok songs, but the rest will be filler.

Axl Rose and his overinflated ego ruined a perfectly good rock band. I loved GNR, I hope the album does come out eventually.... but I also hope Axl has enough sense to see that GNR is not the Axl Rose show, and he should come crawling back to Slash, Izzy, Duff, etc...

Come on be objective. Buckethead is a hell of shredder, you might prefer Slash (i like Velvet Revolver myself, quite a lot actually) but you can't tell me he sucks, he doesn't. Neither do Finck and Fortus, i've seen Gnr live myself, i even have dvd bootlegs with the new line up and they are incredibly GOOD musicians. You can prefer the old line up no prob, but be objective.

OK, first of all, I've from Australia and have been a HUGE GN'R since I heard them from day 1 - thats back in the late 80s, been a fan eversince - even after the long awaited GN'R album. All I really want to say is that music (like most art forms) are there for our enjoyment - our escape from reality - so why do we need to resort to name calling and putting people down. To me, at first I thought Axcl made GN'R - but after listening to Izzy's albums (although are not totally GN'R related); Duff's euthastic effort; Gilby's Pawn Shop Guitar (an album I highly rate) & Slash's performance and writing talents with Slash's Snakepit & VR, I have 2 doubt my original assessment - especially Slash's contribution - 2 me, Slash is on par with AXL. Slash is also a musical genius (and so is Izzy 2 different music extent). All I'm tryin 2 say is that, VR is good (would have been close 2 par with GN'R if they took Sebastian Bach as vocalist), but I still await GN'R (the next mark). If ist suxs, well thats life - but I believe it would be an acquired taste. Axl is a perfectionist, which doesn't necessarily mean 100% enjoyment, if it did, life would b easy 2 live.
So everyone, get off their high horse and enjoy wot life has got 2 offer. Don't put sumthin down until its out. Life is 2 short.
In summary, Slash is one of the best songwriters and guitarist in the world. Sebastian Bach is only second to Axl Rose is vocalist - Scott Weiland is good, but come on - over Sebastian! Axl is great songwriter, performer and vocalist (and would even be even better with original GN'R line-up, especially Slash).

In what way has axl fought hard to keep the GNR name alive? By sacking the whole band and disapearing up his own arse for 14 years ?
Mind you I have a theory that Axl Rose is actually god. This would explain his odd behavior. These are my reasons.
1) lots of people believe in him but no'one has seen him for over
2000 years.
2) He lives up in the clouds somewhere in Hollywood.
3) He moves in a mysterious way (check out the sweet child o mine video).
4) people walk around shouting at the sky asking him questions like where is thy album but he never answers.
5) If you mention slash in his presence a bolt of lightning comes from the sky and disintergrates you.
6) He doesn't turn up to gigs he has booked (just like Jesus in the year 2000).

Guns N Roses is the shit. i used to care that they had all these new members now i dont care. It had to happen in order for this project and i think its going to be amazing. I feel its going to be an essential album, that you just gotta have. I hope it comes out. Im surprised how many haters there are but hey i Understand that you guys have nothing to do and just spend all day on the chair right in front of your computer. It's sad but w/e atleast i dont live my life like that and bashing people who are much more successfull than i'am.

Oh yeah and Velvet Revolver sucks gay ass. But atleast the guys are successful again. Nice slap in the face of W.(Wonteverreleasechinesedemocracy) Axl Rose.
Unless the original band regroups, GNR are dead. But all hope is not lost: the Eagles re-formed, as well as the Sex Pistols and Fleetwood Mac. Too bad Izzy quit; that was the beginning of the end.

I personally think that a lot of the press is being unfair. Axl Rose has his own reasons for this album being in production for so long and the press should respect this. He is a very talented person and, although no longer being friendly with some of the ex - members, is still a brilliant artist and i wish him all the best.
