Hell's Angels Member Sues Police Over Beating At KID ROCK Concert

New York Newsday is reporting that a member of the Hell's Angels has filed a federal lawsuit claiming he was dragged behind a curtain during a KID ROCK concert and beaten by four Albany police officers who taunted him about his motorcycle club jacket. The alleged beating suffered by David Lust, 43, of Herkimer County, took place Sept. 5 during a KID ROCK concert at Albany's Pepsi Arena. Lust's attorney, Brian D. Mercy, told the Times Union of Albany that he has obtained affidavits from concertgoers who claim they saw officers beating Lust with their fists, boots and nightsticks while he was lying on the ground with his hands covering his face. The incident started when the son of another Hell's Angels member who was being escorted out of the arena by security officers grabbed Lust's jacket and asked him for help. A group of city police officers standing nearby then allegedly confronted Lust and dragged him behind a nearby curtain where they beat him, according to the lawsuit. Police charged Lust with menacing, criminal possession of a weapon and resisting arrest, claiming he reached for a small pocket knife as they grappled with him. The charges were later thrown out by a grand jury, and records in the case have been sealed. Read more at NYNewsday.com.

This is why I don't attend concerts that much anymore. Every. Single. Concert. I have been to, either myself, someone I'm with, or I witness someone getting harassed by concert security over seriously dumb shit. Someone has got to reign in these jock psychotics, before a mass riot ensues that actually results in a few deaths...boy, I'm just waiting to see that.

If the Pigs did their job, my car wouldn't get jacked, I wouldn't get mugged, and my house wouldn't get broken into.
But since all the hardcore criminals know that the pigs are too busy giving speeding tickets, arresting people for minor drug offenses, and shoveling donuts into their fat faces while looking the other way, there's little concern about actually being caught commiting a serious crime-unless you kill a cop, that is. THEN they get busy!

Actually, it's this kind of mentality that perpetuates violence. People constantly retaliating just continues the cycle, it does nothing to stop it.
Do some simple math: if for every violent crime committed, another violent crime is commited, how long will violent crime last? Answer: indefinitely.
Now consider this: for every violent crime commited, NO violence comes in response. Well it's obvious that no violence means less violence, right? Duh.

There are guys like him out there doing the right thing every single day. Are there corrupt cops out there? Of course there are. You've also elected corrupt officials to lead your government. You work alongside corruption every day at your place of employment. Many of you are corrupt yourselves. But to suggest that there is no good in law enforcement is just asinine. If you frequently find yourself on the wrong side of the bars, perhaps its time to consider taking some accountability for your actions?
Mr. Rogers, to glibly respond with "too little, too late" as a response to Officer Niggemeyer's actions is merely to incite the wrath of the Dimebag Darrell devotees on this board (who will no doubt take the bait every time and offer you a time and place to recieve your merciless ass kicking.) But in all fairness, the officer clearly did what he had to do in this case. He had a gun to someone's head and was clearly ready, willing and able to keep on killing. Would someone have eventually subdued him? Perhaps. But after killing how many more innocent people? Suppose that someone you love (Handyman Negri, perhaps?) was in that headlock and was the next intended recipient of a bullet to the head? Would you hope that someone would try to reason with this disturbed individual in lieu of taking immediate and decisive action? I would expect that Officer Niggemeyer is haunted by his actions every day, regardless of how justified they may have been. I generally agree that violence begets violence, but society is what we have made it, for better or worse. If you feel that your police should be without firearms, consider a move to England.
I won't conjecture as to what happened at the Kid Rock concert. But if this guy, Hells Angel or not, was unjustifiably beaten at the hands of law enforcement, then he should certainly litigate. It is curious that the grand jury threw out all the charges against him and that the records were subsequently sealed. He may well have a case. Who knows?

Maybe so, but how many more people do you estimate would've died first???? You weren't there, so you can't give an exact figure, but I'll settle for your best guess. If I recall correctly, he had at least three magazines on him, and as a fellow owner of a Beretta 9mm, I'm guessing that he had 15-round mags. So he had AT LEAST 45 rounds on him, and he had already reloaded once! It doesn't sound like anyone was effectively stopping him if he had time to reload, you fucking retard. I'm guessing he would've killed 3 to 6 more people (including Vinnie Paul, possibly) before he was "subdued eventually and incarcerated like he should have been in the first place."
Would YOU have subdued him???? Somehow I doubt that???? What would do, offer him a flower and say "Peace, brother"???? AH HA HA HA. You would've run out of there with your tail between your legs, just like I would've.
And even if Gale WAS "incarcerated like he should have been in the first place," THEN what would you have done???? Duh, you would've called the cops to come arrest him and haul his ass off to jail. Am I right or am I right??????????

It was for something stupid: getting into a bar fight (more like forced into it by some drunken asshole who slugged my friend just for looking at his skanky girlfriend), beating the living shit out of the guy. I got a summons to go to court, but I skipped out on it (I was visiting friends in Arizona at the time, and so I just came home instead). Years later, at a traffic stop, I got busted and thrown in some kind of holding cell with about a dozen other guys. The cops were cool as shit towards me, MissusRogers, well at least the ones who would even acknowledge you. It was the other people in the cell who were dicks. Most of us had to sleep on the floor because there was only four beds in there, and I kept getting woke up at all hours from assholes fighting each other and stepping on me. I never want to go to jail again because there are some real scary fuckers in there that you or I do not want to cross paths with.

Not one time in this thread have I advocated violence, dipshit. And you're the one who needs to read....I didn't go to jail for getting into a fight...I went to jail for skipping out on a summons to report to court. Yes, that was extremely stupid of me to do (I just saved you from saying it).
And believe me...I've run from more fights than I can count. I will NEVER initiate a fight except under the most dire of circumstances. I'd rather be called a pussy than walk around with one eye, a disfigured nose, no front teeth, etc. It's not macho or cool at all to get into fights all the time. And it doesn't matter how big you are, you can always lose an eye or teeth in a fight against anybody, no matter how small and timid they look.
But if you have some drunken asshole come up to you, provoke you, push you, grab your female friend by the arm, and finally, swing at you, what the fuck are you supposed to do, Mr. Rogers?????????? Offer him a flower and spout hippy wisdom??? THAT was the situation I found myself in, and by the way, I was in a very yuppy-ish bar, not some biker bar or ghetto bar.
Sometimes, believe it or not, you will HAVE to fight in some situations. It's a rare occurrence (I hope!!), but it happens. There's a LOT of assholes in this world that force violence on you. It's just the way of this world.
My "kind" will kill itself off?? You don't know the first thing about me, kiddie. You probably think I'm some long-haired, beer-bellied, smelly, huge-bearded, tattooed drunken redneck, but actually a clean-cut (most of the time...I only shave once a week) computer programmer in charge of some very important, very high-profile shit at work, and I hardly ever drink and I spend most of my free time lifting weights and reading. I do have one tattoo though, but it's a very cool one. I'm hardly the self-destructive kind, dumb ass. Can you justify your classification of ALL (or even most) cops as "pigs?" You seem to have some strong personal scars that reference the horrors experienced after a night in jail. By 14, I'd had the cops take me home drunk a couple of times, (which as an adult, I can certainly appreciate.) But I have never been abused by one. My brother in law got beaten down one night by an asshole cop after getting pulled over, but I still don't think that all cops are assholes. So how can you soundly justify all cops as being "pigs?" My guess is that you'll find yourself needing one someday...

My dad's a lawyer. He deals with this stuff all the time. He's explained to me many times that when it comes to the boys in blue (to use a friendlier term) YOU JUST CAN'T WIN. UNLESS THEY'RE ON YOUR PAYROLL.
The police (friendly courtroom terminology) are a Brotherhood. Which means they stick together.
They've taken an Oath of Allegiance, and anyone who crosses them, right or wrong, will be dealt with. So if a cop (boy am I being nice here) has a bad day and beats you down because his wife is having an affair, you really have no legal recourse.
If, however, you are a big time drug dealer or other sort of professional criminal, you can work "with" the Law and avoid trouble. You can basically "buy" your protection.
Why don't rock stars get arrested on their busses smoking dope?
It's because in every town they visit, they hire some cops to stand guard. As it turns out, the cops will enforce or ignore whatever laws that the person who cuts their checks wants them to enforce or ignore.
Cops can be bought. All cops can be bought. The ones who are idealistic enough to refuse this are called "rookies" and eventually, they'll get with the program. Or be set up in some way, or maybe even catch a bullet...
The Police are a corrupt, and a phony institution. The are not truly "Public Servants", more like a Private Army for the rich.
Ask yourself why the Black Crowes, Willie Nelson, etc. have NEVER BEEN BUSTED for dope on their tour bus. We all know these guys are rolling one up RIGHT NOW. What's the deal? Of course, Willie was busted sleeping in his car with a half a joint in the ashtray.
But at the time, he didn't have a cop on the payroll to enforce "Willie's Law".
What's funny is that previously he was busted smoking a joint on the roof of the White House-and a couple of years later, the IRS came down on him. Hard. Coincidence? Nah. The Secret Service couldn't arrest him at the White House, he was a guest of the President. It would have been a Public Relations debacle. But they sure taught him a lesson after the fact. (He lost everything in an IRS auction. But his people, who he's taken good care of for decades, bailed him out, buying all his properties-and RETURNING them to him after the ordeal was over. Sometimes you CAN beat the system)
Why are the prisons so full of minor drug offenders? With that kind of manpower, you'd think the cops could've busted all the big time dealers a long time ago.
Answer: Why bust a dozen or so millionaire dealers and put an end to the war on drugs, when you can allow drugs to continue to flow freely, and create revenue by busting thousands (actually, millions) of Regular Joes who will gladly pump five or ten grand EACH right back into the legal system? Not to mention the kickbacks that the cops in charge get from the dealers. It also compounds the situation once you realise that oftentimes, public officials are involved in drug trafficing. Somebody's gotta be looking the other way...
This is true life, not just the stuff of TV and movies.
See, the prison system in this country is largely a private enterprise. Which means corporations earn profit from incarcerating people.
It's just good business sense to keep the money machine rolling,
rather than actually legalising the stuff and/or finally putting an end to the situation.
And the cops are the "face" of this system. They're the ones on the street who decide if you go to jail for two joints or (if you're a politician's kid) if you walk. And it's not just dope. I know of a guy who went to jail for NOT HAVING HIS I.D. ON HIS PERSON. Total cost to him: over $1500. How did this guy's not carrying his ID hurt anybody. Answer: it sure hurt him!
If more people understood the system, that it's not about law enforcement, but rather about the transfer of wealth and property, more people would stand up to the cops-and maybe the system could change?
I know people who'se cars have been stolen, houses broken into, held up at gunpoint, etc. Not one of these people was actually helped by the cops. But everyone I know who has found themselves unlucky enough to get caught doing something minor has had to pay the price.
So, yeah, it's safe to say that Cops suck. And, with a little behind-the-scenes knowledge, it's safe to say ostensibly that all cops suck.

Yeah, I'm no fan of the I.R.S. either. Trust me, when you're out in the "real world," paying bills, mortgage, car loans, student loans, etc., etc., etc., you'll come to really hate the I.R.S.
And I also agree that the legal system is way too harsh on people who have committed minor drug offenses. Now if you are caught selling crack cocaine outside a junior high school, I believe you should be punished to the fullest extent that the law will allow. But to get busted for just smoking a joint is just fucking wrong! And I don't even smoke pot!!!!
MisterRogers, as it stands, we will never see eye to eye on "eye for an eye." But maybe, when you've had several more years of life's experience (I'm guessing that you've never been in a violent situation), you'll learn to appreciate where I'm coming from.
And I've been beat up before, too, so I don't have too big of an ego. I'm 2-1 when it comes to fist fights, so you're not going to see me strutting. Plus when I was in college, my apartment was broken into, while I was there (!!), and trust me, having some dude threaten to blow your head off is not something I want you or anyone to have to go through.
And please believe me: there are many awesome cops out there. I know plenty of them. A lot of people where I come from and grew up with became cops for whatever reason, and they are all cool as shit guys (and girls). I am pretty sure there's a lot more corrupt lawyers than cops. Sorry, but when you started with "My dad's a lawyer," and you're talking about how corrupt cops are, I about bust a gut laughing so hard.
But hey, turnabout is fair play....I work for an insurance company, so I am a bit of an expert when it comes to corruption!! Ha!!!!! :)
As for me working for you, well you're only 14, kid. That means you are probably already more qualified and smarter than all the managers I work with!!!! :)
