ALICE COOPER To Film Swiss Concert For Upcoming DVD

According to a post at SickthingsUK, ALICE COOPER will be filming their upcoming show in Switzerland for a possible DVD release later this year. "No official confirmation as yet and it's probably a ways off but still something to look forward to!" the post adds. In other news, Chartattack.com reports that THE STOOGES' first two studio albums, 1969's "The Stooges" and 1970's "Fun House", will be reissued in special expanded editions with an introduction on "The Stooges" penned by Cooper. These are set for an August 16 release through Rhino. ALICE COOPER's new album, "Dirty Diamonds", is scheduled for release in the U.S. on August 2 (July 4 in Europe) via New West Records. "Dirty Diamonds", which is said to be a continuation of the more organic approach found on Cooper's last effort, "The Eyes of Alice Cooper", was overseen by Steve Lindsey, who co-produced Cooper's 2004 duet with rapper XZIBIT, "Stand" (off the official Olympics Games album, "Unity") and has worked with Elton John, Luther Vandross and Leonard Cohen.

This is the Montreaux Jazz Festival though there is hardly anything "Jazz" about it. They will record the whole festival with all the music acts and then release the whole festival Artist by artist. That's what I was told. It should be fantastic. The NEW stage show will really kick off when he hits Europe so I can't wait to see this.
Now I'm just waiting for BLEMISH to make some off the wall untrue retarded remark about Alice being a tuba player or whatever music instrument Blemish will make up Alice playing today.

BLEMISH: Britney Spears and American Idol are barely respectable and I doubt they have influenced anyone at all.
Alice Cooper is an innovator and he and Black Sabbath are responsible for the spawning off of Heavy Metal and Hard Rock. More people pay attentioned to them and when they saw how big they were, they wanted to to be too.

The guy is obviously satirising the braindead ego's that frequent Blabbermouth. Think about it, he goes on about how Alice has never done anything original in 20 years, and yet he posts basically the same thing every time an Alice article comes on. He's being ironic. When he refers to Alice hiding behind his stage show, he's actually satirising the anti-intellectualist stance of the working class metlhead that cannot appreciate the surrealistic and dadaistic qualities Alice brough into the rock/metal spectrum. In fact the type of music listener Blesmish is satirising probably wouldn't even know what Dadaism is, let alone be able to recognise the fact that Alice invented the twin guitar attack years before Thin Lizzy or Judas Priest even and fashioned the galloping riff style on Halo Of Flies ten years before Iron Maiden. Not to mention the fact that Alice is basically a self mocking irony show anyway. I compliment Blemish on his highly witty and satirical posts. He uses irony so well that to the untrained eye it could almost come across as hypocrisy! No one would be stupid enough to post Blemish's comments seriously on Blabbermouth unless they were taking the piss out of people and/or themselves. People just aren't that stupid, even on Blabbermouth. Well done sir.
