JUDAS PRIEST To Perform Acoustically On VH1 CLASSIC
- July 1, 2005
|
|
|
JUDAS PRIEST's Glenn Tipton, Rob Halford and K.K. Downing performed two songs acoustically for an upcoming VH1 Classic appearance, set to air on Saturday, July 16 at noon and again at midnight EST.
As previously reported, PRIEST guitarist Glenn Tipton told ABC ePrep that the band's upcoming live DVD, featuring footage from their recent shows at Japan's Budokan, will be released in the fall.
JUDAS PRIEST kicked off their North American with QUEENSRŸCHE on May 30 at the Blossom Music Center in Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio.
JUDAS PRIEST are continuing to tour in support of "Angel of Retribution", their first album with singer Rob Halford in 15 years. "Angel of Retribution" was produced by Roy Z, who has previously worked on solo albums from Halford and IRON MAIDEN's Bruce Dickinson.
JUDAS PRIEST's "Angel of Retribution" has sold 146,224 copies in the United States to date, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

I'd just like to know what two songs they were. Considering it's VH1 they'd have to be some older ones that people would know.
Maybe "Turbo Lover"...LOL (just kidding, of course).

If you heard that song live it was mindblowing. And fans of early Judas know they did a lot of slow almost opera-like songs. I think some of their best stuff !

ok we believe you can do acoustic but no priest fan wants to hear you do it! you were put on this earth to rock! just stick with what you do best and i was never a big fan of diamonds and rust, and frankly none of thier early stuff matches anything they have done since british steel. maybe this puts me in the minority but i am sick of the hardchore people babling on about the classic early priest. ok stuff that does not measure up to the stuff that made them famous, hell i even like turbo better than the early crap.

Maiden & Priest just waste valuable time bringing some of it on tour...Nirvana was ok band afterwards, but I've heard they started this on MTV, and now most people think is cool, but just SUCKS, unless it was actual acoustic songs by LED ZEP or RUSH older albums! Speaking of 'covers', RUSH's "Feedback" is v/good!

metal bands should never do acoustic. it's so far what metal is about and it's gay, not that there's anything wrong with gay people...
