KORN Bassist To Guest On DMC's Solo Album

KORN bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu and Kid Rock are among the confirmed guests on the upcoming solo album from Darryl McDaniels (a.k.a. DMC), formerly one-third of the legendary band RUN-DMC, which has sold more than 30 million albums and singles worldwide. Entitled "Checks, Thugs and Rock 'n Roll", the CD will feature additional guest appearances by Sarah McLachlan, Run, Doug E. Fresh, Gary Dourdan, DJ Lethal, Ms. Jade, Sonny Black and Napoleon. The album, which reportedly pays homage to the musical influences of DMC's youth, offering a tribute to the likes of Bob Dylan, Harry Chapin and Jimi Hendrix, is due in September.

He probably sold his house to afford it though ^^....
Actually, as anti-talent as Korn can be...some of their music is quite interesting. While I'm not their biggest fan, as a guitar player I find some of their riffs are pretty cool.

dmc is great, but.... i uh... don't know about him coming back without jam master jay, which is obvious.... or run... hopefully it's good, and i'm sure a lot of people will "like it" just to like it... but who knows, i won't doubt until i hear it...

it's funny. i remember 10 years ago when Korn first was breaking out. i remember EVERYBODY, especially musicians, was just blown away. they were just SO EXTREMELY different. nobody had ever sounded like that before. that's what made them so cool. they WERE cool.
fast forward 10 years... they sound exactly the same now, except the songs are a little more radio friendly. and hey, why not? i'm sure they like selling records.
point is: they were some hardcore underground shit 10 years ago. you could't find a Korn fan outside of so-cal. or even find anyone who had ever heard of them. and if in 10 years one of these bands that all you whiners and haters constantly praise on here while bashing everyone (and i mean fucking EVERYONE. the only way to get any respect from anyone on this site is to fucking die, sadly enough) like if meshuggah or kreator go on to sell 25 million records, people (just like yourselves) are gonna call them pussies, and bitches, and whatever else the geniuses (your future counterparts) have stored away in their little pea brains.
is it too much to ask for people to just live and let live?
do you think your opinions are so valuable?
or are you really just THAT bored. you honestly have nothing better to do than sit behind a faceless computer screen with your pants around your ankles, whacking it while coming up with clever little insults and put downs?

Rap is not "music". It is spoken word, over a backdrop of pirated, poorly remixed music that was composed originally by SOMEONE ELSE. 99.9% of anyone could accomplish that meaningless act of "scratching" with little or no effort. And the only reason anyone would want to is because their not talented enough to play with their own penis never mind an instrument.
