Original CARNIVORE Guitarist Killed In Bike Accident

Original CARNIVORE guitarist Keith Alexander (later of the short-lived PRIMAL SCREAM project) was reportedly killed in a bike accident Monday night (July 11). His wake will be held on Thursday, July 14 between 2:00 and 5:30 p.m., and between 7:00 and 9:00 p.m. at: Scarpaci Funeral Home 1401 86th Street Brooklyn, New York 11228 718-331-8000 In addition to playing with CARNIVORE, Alexander spent a three-year stint with Dee Snider of TWISTED SISTER, touring extensively throughout North America and Scandinavia, with some audiences numbering over 20,000. A body piercer since 1991, Keith had performed well over 22,000 piercings and over 150 cuttings and brandings. He also had extensive experience with play piercings. Formerly a staff piercer for Gauntlet, Inc. in New York City, Keith spent one year as a full-time apprentice to master piercers Dan Kopka and Mark Seitchik. bike as in a motorbike or a regular pedal bike? Because you have to be a fucking idiot to be killed on a pedal bike. Either way, this is a terrible thing that happened.

I remember this dude. I saw him play in Primal Scream back in the late 80's at Volumes, in Steger Illinois, with At War, and Blind Illusion. Sucks to hear about this :( .

the only way a carnivore fan should remember his death is to have some "jack daniels and pizza." i know thats pete puking, but still...
you can be killed on a pedal bike. chicago has some heavy populated areas where many people ride. retards walk on the wrong side of the trail, slow pokes, pedestrians. they all could lead to a fatality. shit, most cities you have to ride on the street with the cars wizzing by you, inches away.
i myself have wiped-out enough times over the years to know that injury/death can happen. ive seen cars open their doors just in the way of a bike rider. well, the rider usually goes airborn
if someone cause his death, then he/she deserves to have their genitals pierced, and have them hung by those piecrings in times square. it would be far more enetrating than most things shown there (except for the tour de france)

It's a funny thing to say though...something funny about the word "pedal" in general. I'm excusing his ignorrance since it made laugh.
Just bought a bike myself, and it's easy to get too cocky while roaming through the streets. I'm saddened to hear about another death. Life is ever so fragile.

Let's not all debate the safety or lack thereof of biking in NYC or any Metro area as it takes away from the point. The sad bottom line is that an accident happened and we lost a talented individual as a result of it. Lets all crank up his music and remember fondly his contributions to Metal that are still relevant today. Deep sympathies to the Alexander Family.
