TYPE O NEGATIVE Frontman Joins Cast Of Vampire Movie 'Tao Of M'

TYPE O NEGATIVE frontman Peter Steele will be joining the cast of the new vampire movie, "Tao of M", this August. Steele will be taking on the role of Viktor Baine, the vampire who sires Midael, another vampire who terrorizes New Orleans, played by Steve Blaze (LILLIAN AXE, NEAR LIFE EXPERIENCE). Eric Morris also stars, and members of TWISTED SISTER are slated to portray a group of "false priests" who get on Midael's bad side, according to Fangoria. James L. Bills is directing the hi-def production, produced by Milena Rimassa-Merrill and featuring makeup FX by Matt Green, director of "Vicious".
"Tao of M" is reportedly being shot by Velvet Life Productions (the production company formed by Blaze, Morris and Bills) in a joint venture with Isis Films. Shooting for "Tao of M", which is based on the half-hour indie film "Slayer Zed and the City of the Dead", began in early July, and the moviemakers are aiming for a world premiere this Halloween.
Rimassa-Merrill, President/CEO of Isis Films, took the pre-production trailer for the film, as well as some promotional material, to the the Cannes Film Festival 2005, where it was reportedly well received.

I'm definitely seeing this thing. Hopefully they put "Suspended in Dusk" on the soundtrack. Speaking of Type O songs...Hey Peter, how about some new ones!? "Life is Killing Me" is one of the best heavy rock albums in recent memory, I need me some new TON!!!

I love Type O Negative, always have. Petes sense of humor about himself and the band on a whole is probably one of the most misunderstood things in all of metal. People think they're silly and stupid and only sing about vampires and death. Very untrue, a very cool and unique band with a pleasantly surprising and original take on the whole goth/doom thing. Also, all members are very skilled musically and don't souly rely on the proverbial "band gimmick" to get them to sell records.

Definitely one of my favorite bands. Everytime I listen to this band, I always catch something new out of their records. They have some of the most beautiful melodies ever. The lyrics are tremendous and inspire me as a writer.
But yeah, definitely will see the picture. Is it going to be a straight to video thing or what?

I thought that up there where someone said "Congrats to Peter for the role" that it said "Congrats to Peter for the pole" instead. Could have said both, really.
Type O rules. When the crowd chanted "You Suck" at Wicked Wisdom, I was reminded of a Type O show, where they encourage it. If Jada was smart, she'd do what Pete does and say, "Yeah, I know we suck, but you paid $40 to get in here, so who's the real asshole?"

STEVEBLAZE.COM For some info on the 1st part of the film, and hopefully a update soon . The first movie is kinda wierd, and not filmed with the best quality but definitly worth owning . Check it out !
