SKYCLAD Guitarist's Injury Forces Postponement Of European Tour - Aug. 9, 2005

SKYCLAD guitarist and mastermind Steve Ramsey suffed a serious shoulder injury in a recent accident, causing the postponement of their previously announced European tour from October until February 2006. It is not presently clear if SKYCLAD'S appearances at the Rocktown Festival in Bebra-Breitenbach, Germany, and at the Dominion Festival in Hull, U.K. will be affected by this cancellation.

In related news, photos from one of SKYCLAD's gigs at this year's Dong Open Air festival are available at Metalius.de. 	Don't panic. I'm bombjour from the french webzine dedicated to skyclad, and from pennydreadful.de This announcement was taken from dark music promotion's site who is responsible for the skyclad southern europe tour. They made it early august when steve fell down. At that time, it was said the guitarist would have a 6 weeks injury and maybe some chirurgical intervention. Last news i had, things were not that black for clad. I don't have any official statement from the band yet, but i have good hope they do the dominion festival in UK. It's in october ain't it? So should be ok. I have more doubts about the german rocktown festival but as said nothing is official for the moment and if there is a real problem, skyclad will warn the organisators quickly. Anyway as soon as i get in touch with kevin ridley, i'll warn you about the real and updated current situation. Until then, keep cool. For the moment clad still plays dominion and even rocktown. The european tour is another thing and I'll try to get news on that matter too. Cheers. BJ

	Dominion organisators have the confirmation that Skyclad WILL PLAY because Steve is recovering well. Steve told them he even feel he'll be ready for germany's Rocktown festival.

	are nothing short of brilliant. They were a lot better with Martin Walkyer, his lyrical style is unmatched, but they're still a very good band.
