SYSTEM OF A DOWN, SLIPKNOT Among Nominees At 2005 KERRANG AWARDS

The 2005 Kerrang Awards nominations have been announced at this year's Day Of Rock. In the middle of sets by BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, INME, NINE BLACK ALPS, TOWERS OF LONDON and THE MASCARA STORY, Kerrang! editor Paul Brannigan named GREEN DAY and SYSTEM OF A DOWN as leaders of the pack, with five nominations apiece. Coming a close second were MY CHEMICAL ROMANCE with four nominations, including Best Band. The winners will be announced at the Kerrang! Awards on August 25. To vote for your favorites, head for www.kerrangawards.com.

Wal-Mart recently announced that they will soon be offering customers a new discount item: Wal-Mart's own brand of wine. The world's largest retail chain is teaming up with E&J Gallo Winery of California to produce the spirits at an affordable $2-2.50 price range. Avenged Sevenfold kicks ass even though their last album was a letdown towards screamo fans unlike myself - system is pretty kickass but i have no idea wtf ppl wearing paintball masks in byob was about - trivium and possibly A few others even deserve nominations but they got em anyways, but im not gonna bash cuz theyre sure as hell doin better than me musically..

Everyone that posted a compliment to Rammsein, you guys rock! The others just don't understand! Rammstein really did work their ASSES off to be where they are now! Most Local German bands can ONLY dream of being as big as Rammstein! They are coming to the U.S. for Pete's sake! They were in East Germany, but they STILL beat Poverty, the Underground Musik Biz., & everything else that stood in their way! Again, thanks guys & I hope to see you in Dallas(Smirnoff Centre), San Antonio(Verizon Wireless), or Houston(Relient Stadium). They are posting dates for South Amerika & Mexiko for Oktober. Maybe in September or November they will have tickets available for the U.S.A. at Ticket Master.com or something. Their new album comes out October 24th!! ( might very possibly be called "Reise, Reise:vol. 2" (If you liked "Mutter", "Reise, Reise", or "Sehnsucht", then you'l love this one! It is considered a mix of these.
