RAMMSTEIN Announce New Album Title

German industrial metallers RAMMSTEIN have set "Rosenrot" as the title of their follow-up to to last year's "Reise Reise", tentatively due this fall. The group recently shot a video for the album's first single, "Benzin", which was aired live for the first time this past June. Several remixes are curerntly in the works, as is the artwork for the cover of the single and the album.
As previously reported, the band recorded several songs during the sessions for "Reise, Reise" which were omitted from the CD's final track listing. During a recent session at a Berlin studio, RAMMSTEIN recorded several more tracks and recently mixed the combined collection of new material for the "Rosenrot" album.
Recorded primarily in Spain (El Cortijo Studio, Malaga), "Reise Reise" (translated as "Voyage, Voyage" or "Journey, Journey") is the follow-up to "Mutter", which entered The Billboard 200 chart at No. 77 back in April 2001.
"Reise Reise" sold 27,000 copies in the United States in its first week of release in mid-November 2004 to debut at position No. 61 on The Billboard 200 chart.

It seems like they're rushing it. They're trying to make two albums out of one, basically. And that's usually bad.

That's awesome that they got another album coming out so soon after the last. Looking foward to it. Glad the break-up rumors weren't true.
I thought "Reise, Reise" was a brilliant album and would've been their best if...
- they would've left off the tracks "Los" and "Amerika" in exchange for something better.
- they wouldn't have had two back-to-back slow songs at the end of the CD.

Oh man, "Los" is one of the best songs they have ever done! I agree about two slow songs at the end though.

Absolutely brilliant news there.
Im really glad they opted to call the album Rosenrot then VOl.2, as it sounds better and doesnt seem so lazy.

yeah, they do have stupid lyrics, but i'd rather have stupid or simple lyrics than some jackoff trying to be a poet. this is a cool band, i love all their old stuff and cant wait for their new stuff

Too bad that Megaherz band has little "amerikan" publishing support... I really don't mind "cultural" non-English material...
I love Rammstein but I really have no clue what they're singing about. I don't mind. It's fine. I wish I had the freedom of learning some languages like Spanish, 'asian' or German...

Maybe if people listened to more of their songs than just du hast, they could form a valid opinion on Rammstein, du hast does contain simple lyrics. However, a majority of their songs contain complex text, but even if you don't understand german, you could always read the translations, which will expose the genius that is Rammstein. I have to prefer foreign metal (mostly from germany, sweden, and norway) to american metal, because american metal sound is dull or messy and usually contains a singer that does that annoying orc grunt deep voice crap or sounds like he got kicked in the nuts.

I don't want to sound like a complete groupie but...
"Du Hast" always gets picked up and most of the times the interpetation is wrong, "Du Hast" is a shining example of Rammstein's lyrics. It's commonly thought of to mean "You Hate" when in actaul fact it means "You Have". If it was "hate" then "hast" would be spelt as "Hasst". I guess that this was not hep by the translations that were in the "Sehsucht" album but they were not official translations. It's well known that the band made an English version of "Du Hast" where it was "hate" rather than "have", this is because it sounded better.
With foreign language songs, we yearn for translations and don't realise how sometimes the songs are diluted when they are translated.
Most of Rammstein songs are twisted love songs and twisted perspectives. No-one writes songs about Hermaphrodites ("Zwitter") like Rammstein does.

YES!!! We should welcome our Nordic, Dutch, & German brothers who are Rocking their way up to us! Ramms+ein(Germany), Apocalyptica(Norway),etc. These guys rock! Their languages are very alike! Their lyrics are strong, powerful, deep, Provacative, & very NOTICABLE! Let's support these guys! They will bring out a very fresh from of Rock/Metal. I don't like the Punk Rock, but I LOVE the Hard Rock!!!(Disturbed, System of a Down, etc.) Let's bring back the power of Rock when it was the ONLY thing on MTV in the 80's!!

Hey guys, I bought Megaherz's new album, "Megaherz 5"!!!! '5' is more different & better than their other albums(*the ones with Clowns pointing their .45's at ya!*) LOL. The reason why is because that they have a new frontmann!!!! Mathias is awsome!!! I wish they had someone like Republic, Capitol, or Universal Records! S.a.d. musik is a small company who is using them for their money, 'cause they are their best! They NEED TO BREAK FREE FROM SAD MUSIC 'cause that's EXACTLY WHAT IT IS, SAD!!! Poor Megaherz, I hope they tour the states....
