POISON's C.C. DEVILLE Forced To Air Guitar To Enter Party - Aug. 22, 2005
The New York Post reports that when C.C. DeVille was turned away from a Stuff magazine party at the Palms Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas the other night, the aging POISON guitarist gained entry with an air-guitar session, complete with squealing vocalizations of his pop-metal licks. Once inside, DeVille mingled with the likes of Nick Stahl, Danny Masterson, Mekhi Pfeiffer and Stuff editor Jimmy Jellinek.

DeVille recently put his SAMANTHA 7 band back together for a one-off performance at the Cat Club in Hollywood to help celebrate local promoter Happenin' Harry's birthday. The one-night-only reunion included a performance by the original members of SAMANTHA 7: DeVille, Krys Baratto and Francis Ruiz.

He was a sad sight. My wife and kids were with me and he was too drunk to have a picture made with. I watched him stagger in to people and knock drinks out of there hands.

ever noticed how bad it looks if you play air guitar...but you finger the proper chords......

everyone knows that you are supposed to move your fingers furiously around...but then again....Poison never used proper chords or played the guitar furiously

What intensifies the humor to the CC Deville issue is this: While all the other pathetic wash outs were doping up, or spending the last of their income on unnecessary accessories, CC Deville was investing his money into a little known venture at the time called Amazon.com. So, as the years passed his initial investment made him more than any Poison recording even dreamed of. So as we "the modern musicians of rock" sit by our computer screens and eat our indigestible Mc Donalds adding to our lovely obese culture, at least we can point and laugh at the loser multi-millionaire with the air guitar, and laugh about his previous spandex hair band. I never cared for Poison much.
