LINKIN PARK Frontman Gets Into Scuffle With Nightclub Bodyguard

The New York Daily News is reporting LINKIN PARK frontman Chester Bennington blasted a Mansion nightclub bodyguard, alleging that the security man had shoved his pregnant girlfriend. "He was forcibly pushing her away with his arm and I had to get in between them," Bennington said. "So I shoved him back." The rocker revealed that he may bring legal action against the club, and said he spit on one of the bouncers as he stormed away from the party.
Bennington is currently working on his solo debut, tentatively due in early 2006. The singer is reportedly working with producers (and ORGY members) Amir Derakh and Ryan Shuck on the as-yet-untitled CD. Songtitles set to appear on the album include "Morning After" and "Walking in Circles". Bennington is said to be "especially psyched" about a new song, which a friend says "sounds like T. REX," according to RollingStone.com.
LINKIN PARK's sophomore album, "Meteora", sold more than 10 million copies worldwide, and the band's most recent release, last December's mash-up album with rapper Jay-Z, "Collision Course", debuted at the top of the chart.

As I have gottten older, I have much more tolerances for different bands. I definitely don't hate as much stuff as I did when I was younger.... However, I friggin hate Linkin Park. I don't like their music at all, but their tunes are catchy like those commercial jingles. Once you hear one of their songs, it's in your head all day.

Linkin Park is about as metal as Snoop Dogg. Sales figures do not equal talent. When I listen to music, the main things that I care about are the musicianship and the quality of songwriting, and not how well it sold. Hell, the Crazy Frog album got the number one spot on sales charts in Britain for a while, and that isn't even music! And like Kull said, Britney Spears sold more albums, but that doesn't mean that she is better than Linkin Park. Linkin Park's guitar playing is talentless, soulless, and dry, and their music contains zero musicianship or creativity. And they're not the new wave of anything, since the nu-metal scene that they ride on is on it's last legs. Maybe YOU should check out REAL metal bands, like Nevermore, Overkill, In Flames, Opeth, etc.

is a manufactured band, much like every other popular band/artist that gets played on any given top 40 pop station in the country. They are manufactured and come complete with pre-programmed popularity thanks to many of the American Recording Industries tools to make such things happen (Sharon/Kelly/Jack Ozbourne, MTV, VH1).
The millions of listeners (under age 17 mostly) will buy their album, rock out to their hit single, and pick up the next great NOW compilation to include them. Eventually, their popularity will wane when the next flavor of the mic comes out. The CD, once bought with great anticipation from that pimple-faced, angst ridden suburbanite will be forgotten and eventually will be scratched up, used as a coaster and tossed to the dog as a chew toy by the time the next Now XX CD hits the shelves.
I, however, will still be listening to OPETH!!!!!

You dumbass fuckers need to stop dissing Linkin Park and Chester in particular. Linkin Park are the shit and you're jealous of them. They must be the shit b/c they sell so many records and they're the top selling artist at the Warner Bro record label. To the article at hand, I'm glad Chester is taking action against the treatment of his girlfriend. Men can't treat women any way they want to and Chester proves just that. The majority of the people dissing LP on here sound so stupid. What grade of elementary school are you all in? Also, I'm 21 years old so that shoots down the theory of the 30 year old that said only 6-17 year olds like them. So yeah.....since we're shooting down each others' theories. I would have probably acted in a similar way if I were in Chester's position. Bouncers are creepy. They are well none for beating up people or beating them to death and probably other things I don't wanna think about. I wouldn't spit on anybody though, THAT is what gets people's head blown off. That was poor judgement on his part.
One question- What the hell is a pregnant woman doing in a nightclub?
I think he's being suit happy, what does he need more money for? Well, Chaz is a little arrogant and egotistical so that actually doesn't surprise me.
In response to the negative stuff everybody else has said: Ya'll have probably listened to what, one or two of their songs? I know there are artists I can't stand, like Jay Z cause he's a pig who thinks women are his objects (just read the lyrics to "Big Pimpin'") but some artists deserve to be heard.

Dr Nox- You don't know Chaz like I do... when he got frustrated cause he couldn't write lyrics for a song he picked up a glass bowl of fruit and hurled it across a room at the wall. I'm not saying he should do this but I think the bouncer is kinda lucky Chester just pushed him back, he's little but he punches pretty damn hard. (Don't ask, sometimes friends have fights...)
