DON DOKKEN, JANI LANE, FIREHOUSE, STEPHEN PEARCY, KIP WINGER To Team Up For 'Stripped' Tour

Don Dokken ( DOKKEN), Jani Lane (ex- WARRANT), FIREHOUSE (acoustic band jam), Stephen Pearcy (ex- RATT) and Kip Winger ( WINGER) will be teaming up for VH1 Classic's "Metal Mania: Stripped Across America Tour 2005" beginning on Tuesday, October 18. Exact cities and dates will be announced soon. As previously reported, "VH1 Classic Metal Mania: Stripped Volume 2: The Anthems" is set for release on October 18, 2005. With "Volume 1" containing all your favorite '80s metal ballads, "Volume 2" brings back all those shower sing-alongs in hard to find acoustic versions. Imports, live recordings, rare performances, and ten new recordings are all gathered on one fist-pumping powerfest, with a little more twang than pow. The complete track listing can be found at this location. A live DVD of the historic "Volume 1" record release party, recorded in February on the Sunset Strip, will also be made available on October 18. Entitled "VH1 Classic Metal Mania: Stripped on the Strip: Live at the Key Club", the concert features live performances from ALIAS, L.A. GUNS, KIP WINGER, GREAT WHITE, SLAUGHTER, Jani Lane of WARRANT, and more. To add to this impressive package, the DVD will offer countless bonus features, including interviews, behind-the-scenes footage, artist galleries, and exclusive VH1 Classic footage and in-studio performances.

Tell me this is a joke, please. All of these guys got kicked out of their own band at one point or another or anyone in their band left in disgust which barely covers the prospect of this actually being a success. Is this going to be a Living Room tour because that's all the space your going to need for these bozos. I can't imagine how unbelievably torturous this tour will be. Anyone who attends this show without the aid of hallucinagenics needs to seriously rethink their life choices and move on with your life. Obviously these HAS-BEENS, ALMOSTS and JUST ABOUTS are proving just how pathetic it is to hold onto any little semblence of a career. Folks, there's more to life than a bar-chord and a crappy melody to tour, not alone make a record on.

of living,i dont know whatever.this kind of music will always be in demand one way or another,wether some like it or not,thats just the way it is,i like it,ive seen all these guys in their heyday,and they all rocked,they still do.i know theres some closet hair band fans out there but wont admit it,like you all didnt at least a little bit like these bands at one time or another,besides it's just rock n' roll dont take it all serious and shit,some of this music helped us get laid galore,chicks dig this stuff.i guess maybe these guys may be "has beens" to some people,but to be such you would have to have been a"somebody"before,and thats more than what some of these new bands can say,i'll listen to fuckin ratt anyday before i do any new metal bullshit band out there now.

These "rock stars" shouldnt be having a tour of there own.
unfortunatley none of these shows will sell out. even in very small venues with cheap ticket prices
I think these guys should be opening acts on tours like Motley Crue's

im curious to see how Jani Lane would perform now that he is more fit. Dokken not excited at all, Firehouse might be cool and i saw Stephen Pearcy in the Metal Blast Tour, he was ok but overshdowed by the other bands.

Oh and all of you negative fools on this board should chill. All of these guys had top ten hits and platinum records - call them what you will but can you say that or can "Iced Earth" say that? I love METAL (MAIDEN, PRIEST, DIO) But there is a place for melodic metal as well like Warrant or Firehouse. Winger in heir heyday had amazing musicians you cannot deny - Morgenstein is a great drummer, Reb F'n Beach smokes many of ytour "Metal Guitar gods"...
Come on out, have good time, see ancient chicks dressed in 80s clothes....
