DANZIG Announce New Guitarist

DANZIG have announced the addition of guitarist Joe Fraulob ( DECONSTRUCT) to the group's ranks. "After his audition, Jerry [ Montano, bass], Johnny Kelly, drums; TYPE O NEGATIVE] and Danzig all agreed Joe was the man for the job, hands down. The fans are gonna be blown away by this incredible talent." On a sadder note, DANZIG have announced that due to the disaster inflicted on the Gulf Coast by Hurricane Katrina, their New Orleans live date has been cancelled as the city slowly tries to recover from all the damage. "We hope all our friends there are safe and wish the city and its people a speedy recovery," the band write on their web site. The 2005 "Blackest of the Black" tour, featuring headliners DANZIG alongside CHIMAIRA, BEHEMOTH, HIMSA, MORTIIS and THE AGONY SCENE, will kick off on September 30 in San Diego, California. DANZIG's performance on all dates of the "Blackest of the Black" tour will feature former MISFITS' guitarist Doyle Von Frankenstein for a special 30-minute set of MISFITS classics. Doyle joined DANZIG on a handful of tour dates last winter (New York, Philadelphia, Boston) for "the closest thing to a MISFITS reunion you're going to see." The "Blackest of the Black" festival was organized by Danzig and debuted in the summer of 2003 with DANZIG, SUPERJOINT RITUAL, OPETH, NILE, LACUNA COIL and BEHEMOTH on the bill. why won't he realize that the sound that made people love the band was created by 3 other people who left or he fired... Jon Christ, Eerie Von, and Chuck Biscuits... along with Danzig made the band not just Danzig. After Danzig IV its all been shit oh well.

Tommy Victor was the best Danzig guitarist since John C. Tommy admitted he was crabby on the last tour and apparently him and Glenn got into a spat over that, but Tommy was ready to make up. I guess Danzig wasn't, which majorly sucks. I loved Tommy's work on Circle of Snakes. There goes Glenn dumping more talent down the drain...

Tommy Victor was FIRED from Danzig because he is far beyond "crabby". The guy is a talent, yes. He's also one of the biggest assholes in the business. He's been "crabby" a.k.a. "a pathetic bastard" for years and years. When you put 2 egomaniacs in the same band it never works out "nicely"

It's a bunch of crap that there's not a Colorado date on the Blackest tour. What gives with everyone skipping this region? The closest date is Las Vegas, which is like a 14 hour drive from here. The shows I go to are always packed, yet everyone keeps skipping us. It's bullshit.
