IGNITE To Enter Studio In October - Sep. 13, 2005
Recently signed to Abacus Recordings, southern California hardcore/punk titans IGNITE are preparing to enter the studio next month to record their third full-length album. The band's first studio CD since 2000's "A Place Called Home" will be produced by Cameron Webb (SILVERSTEIN, SUM 41, MOTÖRHEAD) and is tenatively scheduled for an early 2006 release.

Formed in suburban Orange County in 1994, IGNITE, whose fan base has largely been developed through near-constant global touring, deliver an intelligent, socially and politically aware, melodic brand of hardcore that has taken them and their message to over 30 countries worldwide. Their high-spirited career includes critically lauded records, among them "A Place Called Home" (2000), "Past Our Means" (1996) and "Call On My Brothers" (1995). IGNITE has also released various live seven-inch, ten-inch records and split CDs in which all proceeds have been donated to many environmental groups that the group supports including The Sea Shepherd Society, Earth First and Orange County's own Pacific Wildlife Foundation.
