DIAMOND HEAD Sign With CARGO RECORDS - Sep. 17, 2005
NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal) legends DIAMOND HEAD have inked a deal with Cargo Records. The label will be releasing the group's long-awaited new CD, "All Will Be Revealed", on October 31. Anybody who missed out on one of the pre-release copies will now be able to buy this commercially available version from all good record stores and online shops.

"All Will Be Revealed" was produced by Brian Tatler (guitar) and Karl Wilcox (drums).

DIAMOND HEAD completed a European tour earlier in the year with MEGADETH — the group's first with new singer Nick Tart and rhythm guitarist Adrian Mills. The band's current lineup is completed by Eddie Moohan (bass).

Upcoming DIAMOND HEAD shows:

Nov. 04 – London, UK @ The Astoria (25th anniversary of NWOBHM show w/ WITCHFYNDE, PRAYING MANTIS, BRONZ, JAGUAR)
Dec. 02 – Birmingham, UK @ Edwards No 8
Dec. 03 – Bradford, UK @ Rio

...have any idea how the new material sounds? I heard some of their mid-90s stuff and it left me rather cold.

The old stuff is, of course, classic.

The new album is very strong. The new singer sounds a little like that Brian Howe dude who sang on those Bad Company albums from the late '80's / early '90's. Come to think of it, ihis voice is pretty similar to Sean Harris. But anyway, yeah, it's a classic rock kinda voice and a surprisingly strong record.

Heard the new album, it wasn't that good in my opinion... Not bad, just not all that good...

However I had the chance to see them live at Sweden Rock this year and they kicked ass! The new singer was surprisingly good... His voice was a good fit with the classics!
