TED NUGENT Thinking About Run For Michigan Governor

Launch Radio Networks reports: Is Ted Nugent planning to hang up his guitar and get into politics? It looks like that's a good possibility, according to the New York Times. Nugent told the paper that he was "99 percent ready" to run for governor of his home state of Michigan next year, but he's decided to hold off until the 2010 election. He said, "Even though Michigan needs me desperately — the pimps and the whores and the welfare brats need to be introduced to my crowbar — I think I would be better fortified and my family would be better fortified for the campaign, if I decided to do so, five years from now." Nugento claimed that he consulted with and had the support of current and former Republican governors including John Engler of Michigan, George Pataki of New York, Mike Huckabee of Arkansas, and Rick Perry of Texas.
Nugent's own brother Jeff, for one, doesn't see Ted winning any contests anytime soon. He said, "I think it would be impossible for him to be elected with the views he's articulated. If he was capable of drawing back in 20 or 30 degrees from where he is, he could still be true to his beliefs but not be so outrageous." Jeff also said that he's given up on asking Ted to tone things down a bit: "I gave up doing that a long time ago. That is who he is and you can't change the stripes on a tiger."
Ted Nugent recently shot a new reality show called "Wanted: Ted Or Alive" that will air on the Outdoor Life Network early next year.

Michigan needs to hurry up and require an IQ above 70 and at least SOME education, preferably a DEGREE, to go into government. Those two things will keep Red Ted The Dittohead out of there.
But it sure would make Ted's sweetheart, Rush Limbaugh, happy if he broke into politics.
Wonder if Ted pitches or catches with Rush? I say the latter.

I used to be a big Nugent fan but he's just out of control with this Alpha Male Concervative Bush Lover attitude.
Like Kull pointed out before, this is a guy who shit himself over several days before checking in with the military after he was drafted. Perhaps if he would have gone he would have met the Vietcong, who, unlike the animals he hunts, shoot back.
Don't get me wrong, I'm totally down with hunting and gun ownership, etc..... This is a man who sides with those that were down on Clinton for his escape of the Vietnam draft. Along with Dick Cheney and Barron Von Rummsfield they have about 11 draft deferments between them. Then they send our military to fight a "necessary" war in Iraq. Yeah, those darn Iraqis greeted us with flowers and love after we did away with good ole Saddam. It's such a much better place now. Right?
Now that Saddam isn't in power what would happen if we left? Civil War! We have created a power vacuum and the next powerful person (he who has the most guns) will fill the void.
Should we leave? No way. We can't We'll leave an unfullfilled promise and look like a bunch of pussys.
Perhaps Ted, Rummy, GWB, Chenney (and their ilk) could send their kids and grandkids over to Iraq then I think the unsupportive "liberals" would have more faith in our current administration.

What I never understand about Nugent 2005, why did he go through such great lengths to avoid Nam? Perhaps because it was wrong? Yet he supports those that believe that invading Iraq is a good thing?
Sure the war on terror. I'm down with that. Lets invade Iran, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Phillipines, etc... there is difinitive proof that these governments have directly or indirectly (by closing their eyes) supported terrorism as well as the Al Quaida.
