BRICK BATH: NYC Show Cancelled Due to Power Outage - Oct. 1, 2005
San Diego, CA-based thrash metal act BRICK BATH have issued the following statement regarding the cancellation of the group's New York City show last weekend:

"BRICK BATH would like to apologize to everyone that showed up to see them at the Brooklyn Music Terminal in Brooklyn, NY last weekend on September 24th. As far as the band and road manager knew, the show was still on until they arrived at the venue for sound check and the venue's power was out with a sign on the door. After speaking to the promoter, the band was advised that the show would be cancelled. A make-up show in December will be announced shortly as the band is currently on a U.S. tour promoting their new CD, 'American Currency', on the Crash Music label".

Best band you've never heard of. Sound somewhat like Pantera because of guitarist Eric Meyer. I'd call him underrated, but you have to be rated, or known to be underrated.

I would tell blabbermouth.com posters to buy the record, but because of Brick Bath's horseshit label, Crash Music, you'll never find it in stores. Oh sure, you can buy the record "American Currency" on line, but the band doesn't get one penny from the label for any sales via the Internet.

The only way they'll make money is if you buy this cd @ one of the shows. Of course, the band was forced to PAY thier own label for thier own cd's to sell at their shows.... Crash charged the band six dollars per cd.

Music is a certainly a business, and this label screws it's clients. Which is why the real loser here was the band for losing another chance to promote themselves, which is usually the labels job....

they do stay true to their roots as far as the music goes. Have seen them go through a lot of shit and bounce back stronger. It sucks ass their label is givin them "the root" maybe this year they get picked up by a better label. I got hammered with Eric in San Diego (East County Represent) before he left, he told me they were gonna do what they did best, fucking bring it to the people.

and if youre wondering...I bought a copy of the new album from Eric.

I may be crazy but when I stuff it in my car CD player and crank it up during morning traffic, I get to work 10 min sooner. Now thats a killer album.
