SYSTEM OF A DOWN Frontman's NOTORIOUS B.I.G. Remix Surfaces On Video Game Soundtrack - Oct. 12, 2005
According to MTV.com, SYSTEM OF A DOWN frontman Serj Tankian's remix of the NOTORIOUS B.I.G.'s "Who Shot Ya" is featured on the soundtrack to Marc Ecko's "Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure" game, along with three other tracks executive co-produced by Diddy (the other three are from Talib Kweli and Rakim, Pack FM, and Pharoahe Monch). Kweli is also the voice of the game's lead character, Trane. RZA, meanwhile, is composing an exclusive remix for one of the game's cinematic videos.

As previously reported, American Recordings/Columbia will release two versions of "Hypnotize", SYSTEM OF A DOWN's fifth studio album, on November 22. Both the CD and DualDisc versions feature 12 new songs as well as artwork by Vartan Malakian, father of SYSTEM OF A DOWN's guitarist/singer Daron. The packaging for "Hypnotize" is specially designed to physically join "Mezmerize" and "Hypnotize" together, forming one unified product with continuous artwork. Additionally, the DualDisc edition will contain exclusive behind-the-scenes footage showing the making of both records.

SYSTEM OF A DOWN filmed performance footage for their video for "Hypnotize"'s title track on September 28 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, MI.

Love System's music; hate System of a Down... make sense?

The more bullshit they talk about America, the more I hate em.

Wonder how many records they would have sold had they stayed in Armenia? Oh yeah.. half those people can't even afford food... thats right.

Good tunes... but that doesn't give them the right to come here, make millions off our impressionable youth, and then shit all over the country that just made them rich.

Fuck SoaD.

Download em, don't buy em!

I love System Of A Down, but i do hate the way they've become more and more political in recent years. I hope they don't fall victim to a scenario similar to Rage Against The Machine's break-up.

What they say about America is true?

You mean that we basically deserved 9/11 because of our foreign policy?

How many people in that building do you think had anything whatsoever to do with our foreign policy? If other countries have a problem with us, take it up on a military level.. but to kill 3000 civilians who were doing nothing more than going to work that day is pure savagery.

They killed mothers, children, fathers, brothers, grandmothers and grandfathers inside that building that day.

It seems that a lot of people have yet to realize that the actions of a country's government seldom represent the true will of the people. Instead, they represent a small, rich minority who want to fuck everyone and everything in the world for everything they can before they get their worthless asses removed from power.

For the actions of our government, they murdered more than 3000 civilians.... police, rescue workers, mothers... children.. and Serj posted the day after on SoaDs website saying we basically deserved it.

Fuck SoAD.

And you support this mentality? If you do, then fuck you too.

I think you're getting mix up...
What's the relation between 9/11 and what they're saying in there last album. They're against the Iraq war, but Iraq is not Afghanistan. Even more, Iraq was a non religious country under Saddam, so get your facts straight mate. Even more, they were born in america, so , normally, they're as much american as you are :)
And people always forget that it'S always good to have a counter opinion, that what'S make a democracy, and thanks god we are one. :) If i remember well, it's the first amendment that gives the right to say whats on you're mind.
Respect to SOAD, there last album wasnt bad at all. :)
Peace mate

You are a proven moron, so I shouldnt even bother.... but anyways..

It's not based on internet rumor, it's based on what I fucking read personally on their webpage on 9/12.

It's not whining, it's stating my opinion. I'm entitiled to mine, like you are to yours, no matter how misguided yours might be about me.

I love these internet tough guys that talk shit. You're probably some 14 year old kid in a slipknot t-shirt that's mad at the world because you get your lunch money taken away on a constant basis.

It's YOU who should get your facts right. Have some respect for the dead, even though its obvious you have none for yourself..

Now.... like any crybaby, puss-ass whiner 14 year old would want, I will give you the last word..... because it's been proven time after time that you whine and cry until you get it anyways, you little cuntbag.

So have at it, you salty-lipped little pissant.

why do you have to repeat this 'news'

and what a cheap trick the whole mezmerize/hypnotize shit is

different versions? any fan who doesn't get aggravated IS A MORON

and the mezmerize/hypnotized albums may/november albums WILL FIT TOGETHER AS ONE?! yep so they say

so this other version of hypnosize will NOT fit together with mezmerize thus in effect making fans buy BOTH hypnotize CD's

choice? yeah right

system of a down has boiled down to a commercial JOKE and so has their all so meaningless worthless new 'music.

what a SCAM

Rap sucks? Well, yes, the commercial shit does, indeed, suck. However, Biggie, RZA, and Kweli are NOT commercial. They are serious artists with realy talents who've made money based on talent, not marketing. I don't listen to much rap myself, but when I hear meaningful lyrics in a song, regardless of the genre, I can appreciate it for what it is. Of course most rap does suck, especially the crap that's played all over the radio and MTV, but these aren't the artists Serj is dealing with here.

For those of you who constantly make your way over to SOAD articles and spew hatred ... please grow up. We've read your opinions hunderds of times already and we've disagreed with 'em every time. What's the point? You aren't going to sway our minds and we aren't going to sway yours, although it'd be cool if we did. The bottom line when it comes to SOAD is that they don't support or agree with USA's foreign policies and President Bushwacker in general. Guess what, they're not the only ones!!! Probably over 80% of the Metal world would side with them here. So what? Just because they're one of the few ones that have the balls to come out and speak out against it does not mean that you should immediately begin hating them and stop supporting their music. Trust me, if bands weren't too concerned with their CD sales and concert figures, there'd be a whole hell of a lot more Bush bashers out there. It's a fact. I dare you to say otherwise.

Regarding what Serj has said about 9/11 ... As an American Citizen and out of concern for such future acts, Serj expressed his opinion on the terrorist attacks. What he said, in a nutshell, was that by invading other countries and imposing our will on them, we should've seen 9/11 attacks coming. Some of you are interpreting it as him saying that we "deserved" it. No, people, no. The proper word is not deserving, but rather inevitable. It was bound to happen, sooner or later. There's no way any country can do what we've done do such extremist Muslim countries as Iraq and Afghanistan and never see any retaliation. Sooner or later we were going to pay for it and in his opinion, 9/11 was it. Did we deserve it? Of course not, because no one deserves to die by simply going to work one day. But should be possibly have been better prepared maybe? Especially since we've been warned many times in the months prior to attack that something horrific was about to happen? Huh?

Guess who was on vacation just prior to 9/11, instead of doing his job, his duty, to protect our people?!? Anyone?

George The Monkey!!!!! Ding! Ding! Ding!

Are here you are, dumbass flag-waving morons, sitting in front of your computers blaming Serj for expressing his opinion. How much more pathetic can you get?

System Of A Down is a great band that isn't afraid to tell you what's REALLY going on. They're one of the very few bands that can achieve tremendous amount of success (see 2.5 million copies of Mezmerize sold in about 5 months, in U.S. alone) while being very outspoken and never backing down from anyone. Oh, and they're fantastic live, too.

At the Seattle show, on the 5th, they playd for about 1 hour and 50 minutes, nonstop. Jamming 28 songs into that time frame and sounding absolutely stellar. I'm certain all 15,000 people at Key Arena were pleased.
