THE BLACK CROWES: Madison Square Garden Pre-Sale Tickets Sell Out In Minutes - Oct. 20, 2005
The limited number of fan club-only pre-sale tickets for THE BLACK CROWES' first-ever New Year's Eve show at Madison Square Garden sold out in a matter of minutes — even though nine hours were allotted for the pre-sale — this week through the band's web site (www.blackcrowes.com). Fans of THE BLACK CROWES still have an opportunity to get great seats when the majority of tickets go on sale to the public on Saturday, October 22 at 9 a.m. EST. This show will cap off a hugely successful year for the band who are playing what many have said are the best shows of their career.

In other news, THE BLACK CROWES' management has confirmed that the band — Chris Robinson (vocals), Rich Robinson (guitars), Marc Ford (guitars), Eddie Hawrysch (keyboards), Sven Pipien (bass) and Steve Gorman (drums) — will allow tapers at the show and that fans should be prepared for a few special surprises. This celebration of free-spirited rock ‘n roll will feature the band performing their full-length headlining set, plus support from MY MORNING JACKET and NORTH MISSISSIPPI ALLSTARS.

Currently, THE BLACK CROWES are enjoying a five-night run at the Henry Fonda Theatre in Los Angeles, which concludes Sunday, October 23. Capacity audiences are being blown away by the band's wide-ranging set lists that alternate every night, encompassing songs from THE BLACK CROWES' six studio albums, plus b-sides and unreleased material, alongside special covers that illuminate the band's rich musical heritage.

Wow, they sold out a small allottment of tickets to their fanbase! Better run and get your tickets when the other 15,000 go on sale or you might miss out.

Chris Robinson is one of the most annoying singers in music.

I don't doubt this post any bit. These guys were awesome when I saw them. I saw them at the Austin City Limits festival and they kicked ass.One of the best shows I've seen. They headlined the first night it could'nt have been a better performance by a band.

Oh, by the way. There were about 70,000 people at this years austin city festival the first night for the Black Crows alone I believe there were around 50,000-60,000 people for there set. I think that they most certainly sell out or come close to selling out MSG. Chris Robinson is a great front man in every sense of the word. True rock and roll, every one of the members!

but The Crowes are great to just chill out to, drink a beer and smoke a bowl. Never seen them live, but I am sure they deliver. I consider these guys the Stones of the 90's and beyond. Just flat out good Rock and Roll. That is one thing the US owns, Bluesy Southern Rock.

COMMENT | great band, not metal and don't care if they are not

and will sell out msg. Sold out 5 hammerstein ballrooms, sold out two sheds last summer in nyc area. This goes fast. I hear this is it too. No plans to record new record, no plans to keep touring. This ends the relapse and its back to whatever the fuck they were doing the past 5 years before the reunion. Smokin dope and living off royalty checks i guess. Speaking of half sold shows...did anyone see the 70 year old zz top tryin to make a come back...oh my!!!
