'Gene Simmons' Rock School' Winners To Share Stage With JUDAS PRIEST - Oct. 20, 2005
The winners from the second series of the television show "Gene Simmons' Rock School" — the band who are calling themselves NO COMMENT — have just landed the gig of a lifetime! Selected as the opening act for metal gods JUDAS PRIEST in Long Beach, California as part of the "Priest Feast" triple bill that also includes ROB ZOMBIE and ANTHRAX, the band will make their national debut in front of some 8,000 people October 30 at the Long Beach Arena.

"Gene Simmons' Rock School", which is one of VH1's most successful shows, has become somewhat of a pop culture phenomenon as legendary KISS bassist Gene Simmons shows fledgling musicians how to rock out, heavy-metal style!

you people are drama queens, give the kids a chance, they are kids qeez, i think its funny getting a bunch of kids together and letting them play such a big gig, and ya dont count on them going before anthrax, my bet is they will play their song before judas priest goes on stage when the arena is packed, reality tv sucks but kids are cool

"gay is when cock meets ass or fem tongue reaches snatch. THATS GAY!"

Actually, awesome is the word to use when describing what happens when "a fem tongue reaches snatch."

"dont count on them going before anthrax, my bet is they will play their song before judas priest goes on stage when the arena is packed"

For real man, these kids probably have more fans than Anthrax these days. Anthrax is opening for them, trying to get exposure.

i highly doubt that the judas priest fans are really on the up and up on this reality show rock thing. i would agree that it is indeed gay. i do apologize to redstatecolluge and anyone else who gets offended by the word gay. your own love of cock is your own business.

Play at half time during an ASU game and the crowd loved it. What is wrong with a little fun and seeing big ass smiles on a few kids face. I think some of the posters on here take EVERYTHING a little bit too serious. Now if they are wearing rebock suits ala Waynes World and say thanks to Pepsi we are here, then I have a problem. But entertainment between set setups is better than listening to the moron next to me bitch that his girlfriend lost her last tooth, while his friend spills beer on everyone else.

Sure, opening for Priest is going to be an experience of a lifetime. My only issue is that the kids, if its like last season's setup are going to have no idea who any of these guys are. But I don't know if I'd rather have a local band that worships all these guys and sounds like shit or little kids playing that sound like shit. I guess probably the little kids. Would be fun to mess with their fragile little minds.

i think its a good experience for these kids. even if it is like last season and they dont listen to metal to begin with or rock in general maybe this will turn out oggd. who knows maybe someone in this band can grow up to be the next marty friedman, steve harris, mike portnoy etc. all in all its a good experience ill be at this judas show and supporting these kids. and the purpose of the show is to take classically trained musicians and expose them to a rock and roll audience but t the same time u dont want them playing to 500 ppl at some generic show. and if u been to a priest concert just like at a maiden concert there will be a bunch of old timers and their young children also. so maybe some of u bashers should tell the old timers not to bring their kids. no disrespect to the old timers theyre the best part of the show besides the bands cuz theyll tell u how it was like back in the days.

In my opionion KISS were pioneers of some sort back in the seventies.
In fact I even owned one 8 track of theirs, actually two destroyer and kiss alive.
But I grew tired of them very fast at the aget 13 or 14.
Their sound as I look back on it was nothing more than a glorified garage band..... oh with makeup! arrggg glam.....

Well it just goes to show the kind of suckers that we all are at one point or another in our lives.
The key is to sort out the real and the unreal.
Meaning the true musical talent from the not so real musical talent.
Sort of similar to the WWE they put on a great show but are they really for real?

Regarding your last post :Exactly my point with KISS the bulk of their fame eminated from that part of their act, and when I was a young teen in 1975, 76 , 77 I figured out that there was much better musical talent out there and that KISS was more of a stage show like... well the WWE, maybe using the WWE is not the best example but....
Don't get me wrong this is just my opinion.
