MALEVOLENT CREATION Part Ways With Guitarist, Bassist - Oct. 25, 2005
Long-running Floridian death metallers MALEVOLENT CREATION have reportedly parted ways with guitarist Rob Barret and bassist Gordon Simms. Replacing them in the group's latest incarnation are returning members John Rubin (guitar) and Jason Blachowicz (bass, also in DIVINE EMPIRE).

MALEVOLENT CREATION are currently writing the music for their tenth studio album, to be released sometime in the spring/summer of 2006. The band's latest album, "Warkult", was released in July 2004 via Nuclear Blast Records. The CD was recorded at Liquid Ghost Recording Studio in Boca Raton, Florida by Phil Plaskon and mixed at Studio Wild in Quebec by producer Jean-Francois Degenais (KATAKLYSM). Mastering duties were handled by Bernard Belley in Montreal. A live album, "Conquering South America", was issued last year via Arctic.

maybe jason can do some vocals as well.... his voice on Eternal and In Cold Blood is just so intense... just not the same as Divine Empire to me because of the music being different. Lets hear some background vocals Jason. Best MC song in my opinion of course is... "Enslaved" such a brutal slice of metal.

Hail!

I saw pixs from a July show and MC already had John.

About Jason... I don't think so. According to interviews MC had a lot of problems with him.

I hope Rob will rejoin CC.

Ten Commandments, Retribution, Envenomed, The Will To Kill and Warkult are my faves \m/

Dave Culross

(Don't listen to the moronic armchair quarterbacks on this thread. These recent lineup changes won't change the fact that the next album is going to rule, as all MC albums do.)

Hail!

I have seen pixs from shows from recent months and Dave wasn't behind the kit.

Pixs from August:

Dave is one of my fave drummers, and I hope he will take part in the new album.

That is most definitely Dave behind the kit. He wears glasses now. I recognize the tatoo on his left arm.
