RAINBOW: Classic 'Rockpalast' Performance To Be Released On DVD - Oct. 25, 2005
The Rainbow Fanclan Legacy is reporting that the classic RAINBOW show from Munich, Germany, recorded on October 20, 1977 (as broadcast on the equally classic German TV show "Rockpalast"), will be released on DVD in Japan. The two-DVD set is scheduled for release on December 21. The first disc will contain the show in DTS 5.1 Surround Sound, Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround and Dolby Digital 2.0 Surround audio. It is not clear yet what the second disc will contain but there are rumors about interviews and clips. More information is available at HMV Japan.

RAINBOW's setlist for the Munich performance was as follows:

RAINBOW's lineup for the performance was:

Ritchie Blackmore – Guitar
Ronnie James Dio - Vocals
Bob Daisley - Bass
Cozy Powell - Drums
David Stone - Keyboards

Damn...In the U.S. I quess it would've been about 10-15 hours difference. Skynyrd's plane crashed around 6:20 pm CDT on Oct. 20 1977...

I know Region 2 works in Japan, so what's you're fucking point? Like I said, I already have a region 2 dvd of this concert.

Those songs weren't played.....and were only done once or twice or not at all with Ronnie. The DVD's already out are bootlegs.

When I saw Rainbow with Dio in 1987 (front row seats!), they played "Stargazer" and "A Light in the Black" back to back just like on the LP. It was mindblowing.

i like motorhead.....and simon and garfunkel...and this dvd, if it's remastered, will be a must have. i have the version of the dvd that's out now- a bootlegged from video thingy.
