'Ozzfest 10th Anniversary' DVD/CD Details Revealed

Die-hard heavy metal fans (and those who are just plain curious) now have the opportunity to take a behind-the-scenes glimpse at the longest-running rock tour in history with the DVD and bonus live CD release, "Ozzfest 10th Anniversary". Celebrating its decade anniversary on the road, this DVD brings fans up close and personal to what has become a "mosh of togetherness" for the artists and fans. Clear Channel Entertainment Home Video and Ventura Entertainment Enterprises proudly present the special DVD premiere of "Ozzfest 10th Anniversary" for only $19.98 on November 22, 2005. Filmed at the Donington, U.K. show which was attended by over 100,000 fans, and the back lots of Camden, NJ where the temperature struck 103 degrees, "Ozzfest 10th Anniversary" DVD and CD (view cover here) feature radical performances from BLACK SABBATH, VELVET REVOLVER, ANTHRAX, H.I.M., TRIVIUM, and ROB ZOMBIE, among others. Not only will viewers have a backstage pass to the hair-raising antics at the shows, but they will also get up close and personal with the Osbourne family, as the DVD features interviews with Ozzy, Sharon and Jack. They tell the whole story about the history of Ozzfest with a special walk around tour with behind-the-scene footage of the concert. Bonus features include exclusive interviews with Ozzy Osbourne, Jack Osbourne, Slash and Zakk Wylde. it's just so hard to give money to Sharon after her robbing of the fans at Maiden's last show on the tour. Pulling the plug, not just once but several times! Throwing stuff at the band as they played. I'm not even a huge Maiden fan for godsakes.
It's about the fans. Not your friggin' egos. Okay so Bruce talked a little shit. Your on a "Reality TV show", wake up. Your water cooler talk of years past. Get over yourself.

I forgot to add the fact that my Ozzfest date was cancelled to my above statement. Ozzy was not up to playing, so my Ozzfest show was cancelled. They couldn't get all of the bands to commit to the rescheduled date (a month later...I wonder why) so the show was completely cancelled.

This has got to be the most asinine thing I've seen. The Ozzfest tour primarily happened State side. So to add bands that never played Ozzfest, some not even Ozzfest UK is just fucking rediculous.
I was expecting a better listing for not only the DVD but the Live CD as well. I think I'm gonna take a pass on this. This is obviously no real attempt to celebrate this festival but more of just another excuse to cash in on the Osbourne name and milk it for everything it's worth and then some.
In Ozzfest's final days, the tour will only be remembered as a joke.

Marilyn Manson, Slipknot, Kittie, Incubus, Disturbed, Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, Drowning Pool, Lamb of God, Hatebreed, Otep, Soulfly, etc.

Ok, I can deal with seeing Anthrax (although unless they played a secret set for the grounds staff, I don't believe they played the 'Fest when I went), I can sort of deal with the fact that there are fucking Bowling For Soup and Alter Bridge tracks on here...
What really gets me?
No fucking Maiden.
Way to go, guys. Leave out one of the few things that made Ozzfest tolerable this year (granted, I realize the irony at being irate at something that I wouldn't have bought in the first place). I am a bit surprised that $haron didn't put them on, just for the extra capitol it would undoubtibly bring in.
Fuck Ozzfest, and Death To Sharon Osbourne.

No more will I contribute to that HAG's plastic surgery schedule or mortgage. This will sell well for those who aren't in the know and the unjaded fans as well.
Completely obvious that Maiden said "NO" to the HAG because they own their music and they'll be damned, as I, that she'll make a fucking penny off them or me. The track listing is very lame anyway. Doesn't even cover the mediocre moments of a very disappointing SnOzzFest.
No Mastadon, Killswitch, Wycked Wytch or Slipknot even though they only played the San Bernardino show, the set killed and not even a mention. Can't wait for their live 2cd set next week. That's where my cash is going.
Half million to make that HAG look like a million. Funny thing is, Ozzy likes shaggy fat old dumpy broads and his wife is just old and greedy.

Ozzfest is over. after a couple of shitty ones, they made a comeback with a great 2004 lineup, then screwed everyone this summer on at least half the dates, and that Maiden thing was the final straw. and they expect us to wanna shovel out 20 bucks for this piece of shit DVD/CD?

First of all, i was talking to a guy who saw the show at Donington and he assures me that Anthrax did play.
Secondly, Maiden defiantely should have been included, and it is probably just bitterness (and unprofessionalism) that prevents this from happening, if it is from the producers side. However, it is also possible that Maiden might have refused permission to use their footage, following Sharon Osbourne's disgraceful antics.
Lastly, why only three Sabbath tracks!?! I appreciate that this is an Ozzfest DVD and not a Sabbath one, but the amount of decent Sabbath live footage comercailly available is criminally deficient! Release their whole bloody set on its own DVD!!!

Ozzfest is a lost cause. If they keep this up it's going to turn into an alternative rock festival I shit you not. If that's the best they have to offer for the dvd I wonder who the other bands are. They had so much potential for this dvd. They a chance to redeem themselves for that shit they pulled in Cali. Instead they give us a mainstream ridden dvd. This is just (for lack of a better term) SHIT. First of all, No Iron Maiden? When they were the big draw for this years fest? Bullshit. Then they have these other no name bands on the cd/dvd when they should have just put on a few of the headliners and bigs acts from across the years. They should have interviewed those bands/members on their experiences at Ozzfest.

Let me clear this up, this is not a HISTORY dvd. It only features bands who played at the Download festival and Camden Ozzfest.
There will be no Slayer, Slipknot, Tool or any of the bands you can think of that played in the past years.
Next I don't think Maiden could deny any footage of theirs from being presented on this DVD. You always have to sign a contract before you participate. Once you sign this Sharon owns the rights to whatever goes on in the festival.
I'd like to conclude by saying that is one short and shittty tracklist. I was right next to the camera man in Camden during Shadowsfall while he was filming them. I don't understand why they weren't included. Maybe thats some backstage bullshit footage, who knows.
Sharon also insulted Iron Maiden saying that they were only waving the British flag and not American one during 'The Trooper' (dumb bitch). Yet she makes Ozzfest (a U.S. based festival) revolve around the crappy acts that took place on the Download Festival (exception: Anthrax)
FUCK THIS BITCH!! (Even one Maiden track would have sufficed and made this dvd ten times better than what it is now)

(Dillenger Escape Plan were not filmed)
Plus (Dimebag tribute and some nice collaborations)
Now thats a way to treat a festival DVD. Better line up, tributes, backstage perspectives, and collaborations on stage.

most of the major artists that played this year because they have pending DVD releases with their respective bands.
A compilation of alumni would make a pretty dope dvd,so many bands have gotten major exposure with the fest over the years.
