SUICIDAL TENDENCIES Headline Riotous Los Angeles Gig - Oct. 30, 2005
According to the Hollywood Reporter, no fewer than three melees erupted on the floor prior to SUICIDAL TENDENCIES' performance at Los Angeles‘ historic Olympic Auditorium Saturday night (October 29), prompting an announcement that the Mike Muir-fronted band wouldn‘t take the stage unless order was restored. Other acts that performed at the "Waking of the Dead" concert included FLIPPER, MARKY RAMONE, FEAR and THE GERMS. In a fitting close, police in riot gear closed the streets surrounding the Olympic after the show. Read a review of the gig (by former Metal Edge editor Paul Gargano) at Reuters.com.

woah, that's news to me, former Metal Edge editor Paul Gargano.
so my question is...how long ago did he leave or whatnot, and does Metal Edge still suck as much ass as it did when he was editor? i mean that magazine was crap several years ago before he took charge, but then it REALLY started to suck when he was in charge. has the magazine actually become worth reading?

YOU'RE CAREER REALLY PEAKED AT METAL DREDGE BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT YOUR SUITED FOR. TEENY BOP BULLSHIT NO NAME WRITING.

ANYONE GO TO THIS THAT DOESNT FANCY THEMSELVES A PROFESSIONAL WRITER? YOU CAN DO JUST AS GOOD A JOB AS PAUL WITH YOUR EYES CLOSED.

thats not suicidal... suicidal at its finest was with george and trujillo no doubt. If it isnt the lights camera suicidal lineup it isnt suicidal. that lineup captured evrything they had done before that perfectly. thanks for the info just the same...bori might know someone eho was at this show seeing as its a pretty cool lineup. even being 300 miles away he could have better info or info that is more inside than Pauls.

I still couldnt care enough to visit that site. even typing in a few keystrokes isnt really worth the time or effort. Its not even S/T metal john. Its Mike Muir with a backing band. Something no one needs to see. Wait to see cypress hill. That would be worth the money.

Chralk are you really mike muir in disguise trying to get hits on your site? I knew it was you man.

I was at this show and saw all 3 fights happen right in front of me. Some guys got FUCKED UP! I wasn't surprised though, half the place was filled with cholos. About 2-3 times, like 30 kids stormed security so they could get into the pit area, that was one of the coolest things i've ever seen.

And btw this "editor" was obviously not paying much attention or doesn't know much about ST cuz they didn't play "You Can't Bring Me Down" or "Alone." I wish they did though.

I would've loved to be there.
Anyway who was singing for the Germs? Certainly not Darby Crash...again, wow what a killer gig.
Suicidal Tendencies are fucking great, but so are Flipper, Fear and so is Marky Ramone.

They released quite a few cds with the new lineup. They kick ass. I've got all of their stuff.
And Marky Ramone is playing nothing but Ramones song now.
But of course you people know nothing about that, because all you do is follow trends.
If i like a band i follow that band regardless of how "successful" they are.

To quote ATR: NO SUCCESS!!!!!!!!

"three melees erupted" I was there! There were more than 3 "melees"! It was insane in there! It was like a cholo convention in there! People in the seat sections were forcing their way to the floor area. The security staff couldn't do anything! People just kept coming down to the floor! After the show someone got stabbed outside the Olympic Auditorium. It was a carzy show!

ST for life.

but that level of violence sure sounds crappy. how does that make for a good concert?

surely with mike muir's long known hatred of "stupid people" - these seem like the opposite kind of people he would want to have as fans.

mike quit ST because after he couldn't hack playing in front of metallica fans. i guess he obviously prefers having these nutcase gangsters as fans instead.

go figure...

I was at the show and didn't see any shit go down in the parking lot, I just saw pigs everywhere. The Mongol's are a bunch of old mexicans who think they're bad but they're really not. The guys they were going after had no chance against them, but there were dudes in the crowd who could've matched up, especially some of the old suicidals in the crowd. I was down on the floor ready to go if that shit spilled into my lap. I just remember seeing them pick on some young skinhead kids who couldn't even fight back. I didn't see them fuck with anybody who had a blue bandanna on, go figure.

Frutiger

Ever seen one of those mexicans that where a white t-shirt with the short sleeve button up shirt over it. And they only button the top button cause they think it make them look like a bad-ass. Then they have that wide ass fuckin bandana wrapped around their head and its so wide that it covers thier eyes. They have to tilt their fucking head back just so they can see in front of them. Then they have the baggie dickie pants and the black shiny shoes. Only they don't call them shoes they call them chews. Well thats a cholo.

i was at this show and it was fucking insane, suicidal tore the fucking place apart.

i didnt see flipper or marky ramone but Fear was awesome and The germs were killer....the singer for The Germs was actor Shane West and he was awesome.

i saw this feud break out and it only lasted like 30 seconds, unless it was movied outside.

when i left i saw helicopters and the streets were blocked with cops cars but i didnt think it was for this concert because it wasnt that big of deal....but i guess when your dealing with suicidal, i guess its best to plan ahead, huh?

Fuck it'd be nice if they played one more show before the end of the year. They should do another show with just them and fear. They can do the concert at the Redlands University, great fuckin place to have a concert.
