SYSTEM OF A DOWN Premieres 'Hypnotize'

Launch Radio Networks reports: SYSTEM OF A DOWN premieres the video for the title track from its upcoming "Hypnotize" album today (Tuesday, November 1) on its own web site, SystemOfADown.com, as well as MTV.com. In addition, the clip is airing once an hour until midnight tonight on MTV2. The video was directed by bassist Shavo Odadjian, who filmed the band performing in Grand Rapids, Michigan on September 28. Odadjian also directed the band's previous video, for "Question!"
"Hypnotize", the album, will be released on November 22. A DualDisc version will feature behind-the-scenes footage from the making of both "Hypnotize" and its companion disc, "Mezmerize", which came out in May. The artwork for both discs combines to form one unified image, while the last song on "Hypnotize", called "Soldier's Side", completes "Soldier's Side Intro", which opens "Mezmerize".
Fans who pre-order "Hypnotize" through the band's web site can receive a limited edition "Hypnotize Fan Pack." The package includes the DualDisc edition of the album, a digital download of the title track that can be downloaded immediately after purchase, and a numbered SYSTEM OF A DOWN lithograph featuring artwork from the CD.
SYSTEM OF A DOWN plans to tour the U.S. again in early 2006.

Mezmerise was such a terrible fucking album. i'm pretty sure this will be as well. BYOB was one of the worst fucking songs i've ever heard. also, System of a Down are beyond god-awful live. i had the extreme displeasure of sitting and watching that live shit on MTV or MTV2 earlier this year of them, and wow that was the worst shit ever. how can you get any enjoyment out of these idiots live? Serj sings all goofy and his voice just cracks constantly trying to sound kooky and weird and that idiot guitarist thinks he can sing and ends up singing half the vocals on most songs himself anymore. and then they don't even sing in tune, play the music even remotely correctly, and they have no live energy either. these guys are fucking terrible.
what the fuck happened to these guys?!!!??? i'm STILL waiting for a proper follow-up to their self-titled debut. nothing but half-assed MTV fodder since then.

Opeth is boring and mundane. There is not one song off their new album that I care to hear again. Yeah, it's complex and the insturments are well played, but that does not make up for lack of song writing... and when I say song writing I mean opeth's ability to write a song that you want to listenn to over and over again. It just isn't there. I sold my copy.

what happened to real soad songs like War?
this is just... not worth my money. godammit. how can people take this in and enjoy it? Serj needs to start writing more of the songs and telling daron to stop fucking singing in all of the songs. harmony is nice, but its only needed in one or two songs. Not all of them.
Mezmerize was the biggest SOAD dissappointment yet, and i can already tell by this shit song, that hypnotize is following in its footsteps.
Daron's being a major douche.

Oh my God SOAD released an album that didn't sound exactly like their first two. That's terrible. I wish all their albums sounded exactly the same, cos I don't like bands that expand their horizons and change...well that was my opinion when I had no idea about music and was about 15 years of age.
And just because SOAD are on MTV doesn't mean they suck...again an attitude mainly some naive 15 year old might have.
Please stop posting these immature comments on Blabbermouth...try and think of something constructive to say (for once)!!!

Holy shit, what a worthless post. If SOAD was so awful, why do you pay so much attention to them. There's no shortage of bands I hate, but I guaran-fucking-tee I won't: a)buy all of their albums b)watch their live specials on MTV of all places c)read every article on a website that I can find so I can comment on them and d)complain about kooky and weird bands then recommend MESHUGGAH!!!!! instead. Nothing against Meshuggah; I happen to like off-beat bands. I just saw SOAD live for the 2nd time and was expecting a decent show. What I got blew me away. These guys do NOT fuck around and any asshole knows watching a band on TV (ESPECIALLY MTV) is barely any kind of representation of a real live show by said band. I could care less about the music being played or sung note perfect (ever heard of punk rock? Anyone? Anyone?), the energy was incredible and the sound was killer. Serj's wierd noises betray his Mike Patton influence, but are really quite astounding when you listen to his range. He reproduces that shit near perfect onstage. Plus, calling this MTV shit is just retarded. System is the most bizarrely non-commercial band to hit it big since the mighty Primus. The new songs they played in concert were awesome and I can't wait for this album. There, don't say nobody on Blabbermouth ever says anything positive or mature. That said, FUCK YOU ALL!

serj should write more of the music. and daron should sing less. otherwise, it's quite interesting. doubtless it will get lots of radio play, and that's a good thing cos it will expose more people to even slightly interesting musical things like replative key change and so on.
having said that, all their stuff has been a disappointment since SOAD

Jealousy is an ugly thing and it's quite apparent that 90% of Blabbermouth posters posses it and display it in every single SOAD story.
Not their best video, but still better than just about every other video playing anywhere right now. If only other bands knew a thing or two about originality. Perhaps then we'd have a few other bands selling millions of copies of their CDs within weeks of their releases. Haha.
Go ahead, hate all you want. Then watch Hypnotize dominate the charts for months! They'll probably sell about 2 million copies in the US alone before the end of the year. Take that, dipshits.
