UNLEASHED 'Ordered Off' X-MASS FESTIVALS Tour
- Nov. 9, 2005
Swedish death metallers UNLEASHED have posted the following message on their official web site:
"Since the beginning of this year we have announced and promoted our confirmed participation on the X-Mass tour 2005 [with HYPOCRISY, EXODUS, NAGLFAR, WINTERSUN and FEAR MY THOUGHTS].
"According to the promoter Metallysee, Nuclear Blast Records have now sponsored the tour and also have the right to choose which bands they want next to theirs on the bill. Accordingly, they ordered UNLEASHED off the bill, scared shitless of the competition UNLEASHED would cause, or just don't like us?
"Smart move either way, and quite understandable.
"We have tried to book a replacement tour for December as announced on our website. Unfortunately, time was not on our side to do so and we will have to reschedule for next year. We will now concentrate on the final details of the upcoming DVD release and also our eighth full length album. We plan to enter the studio in January 2006."
As previously reported, UNLEASHED filmed their entire performance at the Up From The Ground festival (August 26-27, 2005) for their upcoming full-length DVD, tentatively due next year. UNLEASHED had also shot their July 1 concert at the With Full Force festival in Leipzig, Germany for the as-yet-untitled disc.
UNLEASHED recently completed the Harvest Festival 2005 European tour with NILE, PUNGENT STENCH, BEHEMOTH, INCANTATION and BELHEGOR. The band are continuing to tour in support of their seventh studio album, "Sworn Allegiance", which was released last fall through Century Media Records. The follow-up to 2002's "Hell's Unleashed" was recorded and mixed by Fredrik Folkare at Chrome Studios and mastered by Peter In de Betou of Tailor Maid Productions (DIMMU BORGIR, AMON AMARTH, KATATONIA).

Dear Santa,
I'd like the following for X-Mas
1) Mustaine to STFU 2) Kiss merchandise banned from the market 3) Roadrunner to get some original acts (a la Opeth) 4) Sharon to get egg whipped 5) Metallica to come back and shock the world
Thanks Santa, later

First of all, why is everybody here pissing on Roadrunner, give them some credit, if it wasn't for them we wouldn't have known some of our metal heroes at all ! Second, WTF !!! I live in Holland, each year we have X-mas fest, and each and every year we have Marduk and friends in Holland. For the first time since I can remember we have metalgod Peter and friends here with some other bands. All of a sudden we see a second x-mas fest with all time heroes Morbid Angel AND Unleashed. What a bloody great december that would become.....And now, I check my favourite site about what's happening in metal country Holland (www.lordsofmetal.nl) and what do I see, Morbid Angel and Unleashed are cancelled !!!! The whole f**king tour is blown off !!! WTF !!! All because of those asswhipes Nuclear shit. Damn them ......
I think this december I'll just enjoy myself the old fashioned way, drinking, f**king, more drinking and maybe some more sex...
DAMN THEM !!!!!!!!

you're right, we always have Marduk and friends, but Unleashed already played twice in one year (here in Belgium) on big festivals... and I personally think they're ridiculous on stage with their "death metal victory" bullshit
Nuclear Blast suck for what they did, but Metallysee ain't that clean either!

I highly doubt the mighty Exodus was afraid of some competition... So I guess NB just doesn't like you!

So what??? I don't fucking care of the past of roadrunner. They got rid of your heroes and have chosen to replace them with nu false metal crap. Shame on road-shit-ner records.
What the fuck is going on with NB, are they competing with roadshit for the shittiest label ever???
