SEETHER Frontman Stunned To Duet With AUDIOSLAVE Singer
- Nov. 16, 2005
Launch Radio Networks reports: SEETHER is nearing the end of its run as opening act on AUDIOSLAVE's North American tour, and frontman Shaun Morgan told Launch that AUDIOSLAVE singer Chris Cornell recently helped create one memory that will stay with Morgan for a long time. "About a week ago, Chris asked if I would do 'Fell on Black Days' with him, 'cause he comes out at the end of the set and does, like, a three-or-four-song solo thing and then the band comes in and finishes the set," he said. "So I've done it with him now three times and that, for me, has been incredible, being onstage, standing next to Chris Cornell, just him and an acoustic guitar, and we're both singing 'Fell on Black Days', which as a kid was one of my favorite songs and still is one of my favorite songs."
Cornell originally sang "Fell on Black Days" with his previous band, SOUNDGARDEN, on its 1994 "Superunknown" album.
SEETHER plays a headlining show tonight (Wednesday, November 16) in Sparks, Nevada, and opens two final shows for AUDIOSLAVE on Friday (November 18) in Long Beach, California and Saturday (November 19) in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The band next heads to Europe as it continues supporting its 2005 sophomore effort, "Karma and Effect", and current single, "Truth".
Morgan told Launch that SEETHER will headline the 2006 Sno-Core Tour, set to begin in late January. SHINEDOWN and two yet-to-be-announced bands will also be on the bill.

i'd be sick--cornell is such a loser that he would make a billy goat puke. i'd rather have an evening of david lee roth doing ninja moves on stage. i'd rather listen to jani lane not hit high notes.
and that guy from seether dont have too much to brag about, either. if i were him, i'd be embarressed and would lock myself up in a hotel room to ponder my life.

reached into the front of his pants and comment on the smoothness of his nutsack. "How'd you do that?" Chris pondered. "I was born that way" said shaun. "Hmmm" chris said with a smirk. "I was considering botox for mine."
I'm sure for someone who enjoyed soundgardens later work that was quite a treat.

Glad to see that he's happy about this opportunity. No doubt that Chris is an icon for many singers. It's too bad that Chris left Soundgarden for politics and it's also too bad that Seether doesn't get more recognition. Seether is a damn good band. Their latest release is solid. If you don't have it or have not listened to it, don't bash it...try it.

Again...if you don't have any of their discs, don't bash! I trust by the name you use that you are a SJR fan. I have their discs, too and like'em a lot. I have NO problem saying that I really like Seether, just as I have no problem saying that I enjoy Superjoint, AlterBridge, Pantera, 7dust, Megadeth, Iron Maiden, the Crue, Type O Negative, Queensryche, etc...etc...etc... Good music is good music, as long as it feels right. Sorry to hear your tastes are a tad bit shallow.

alright, this might come as quite a shock to some of you "troo brootal necro-kvlt eviler-than-thou worship the darkness and immense grimness of the necro-ferret" folks out there..... but this band, along with Shinedown and a handful of others, are really, really good solid hard rock bands. In fact, one can make comparisons to "Core"-era STP. And yes, I'm making that reference in part to the fact that I'm listening to that album right now. (yes kiddies, it is ok to listen to other things than bands with indicipherable logos). The majority of the time, I do prefer the much harder shit (ala Hypocrisy, Shadows Fall, Immortal, Slayer, etc, etc), however, I do enjoy some good ol' rock 'n roll too. Get your collective heads out of your asses and maybe you might actually hear something you like.
