KORN Frontman: 'Christians Are The Biggest Con Artists In The World'

KORN frontman Jonathan Davis has hit back at departed guitarist Brian "Head" Welch over his assertions that the only thing the members of the band care about is money.
"All they care about is money? What the fuck?! I don't understand what he's on about," Davis tells the Swedish magazine Close-Up. "All HE cared about was money and all he does is still care about the money. He's got his solo career, he's going and doing all this, but oh, it's not for the money. Christians are the biggest fucking con artists in the world and he's still gonna make money off that. I don't understand… The only true way he can do that is to become a fucking monk! There you go, that's a sacrifice for God. Give up everything and go, if that's what you want. It's bullshit. If he wants to go save kids in India, that's amazing. That's a noble fucking cause, that's cool. Do your thing. The only problem I do have with him is that he’s got this Jesus complex. You can tell by the way he's got his fucking hair, Messiah down his neck, him with the kids in India trying to be holier than thou now, that he thinks he's Christ. It's kinda crazy, kinda cuckoo and it kinda weirds me out."
Were you surprised that he turned all religious?
"Yeah. I just said what was on my mind: 'What the fuck are you doing?' 'Dude, don't talk to me, talk to God. God is the one telling me to do this.' I'm like, 'Okay… Well, God told me you're crazy!' [laughs] You can't argue with religion, no one wins. I just let him do his thing. If that's what he wants, do it, dude. No hard feelings. If he came up to me again I'd give him a hug and say, 'How are you doing?’ But it's just not possible, because every time I've tried to have conversations with him, it just goes to God. I don't wanna talk about religion, it's not my thing. He can't respect that so…"

"I guess in a way, yeah. I don't think he betrayed us… I think he was unhappy for a long time, and honestly if this has kept him alive that's a good thing."

Yep, that pretty much sums it up. 1,000 people are gonna have 1,000 different opinions. But is anybody right? Does anybody have all the answers? I think people, and especially some of the people on here, need to take a position of live and let live. If someone wants to go to Church every Sunday, read the Bible, etc, etc...you know what? Let them do it. Its their choice.
Conversely, if someone wants to be an atheiest, wants to worship Satan, whatever the case may be...that's your fucking choice.
Every religion has its hypocrisy. Every religion has its extreme aspects which (drumroll...) IS NOT AN ACCURATE REPRESENTATION OF THE VAST MAJORITY OF THE RELIGION. For example, some of you people's favorite target... Christianity. Obviously there are tongs of peope out there who distort Jesus' original message to suit their own needs. This is nothing new. But if you mechanically bash Christianity based on the extreme actions of a small percentage of nut jobs....then you're a close-minded fool.
The point is...believe what you truly believe, and let others do the same. Just treat people the way you would want to be treated. Wasn't that Jesus' golden rule? It has nothing to do with any specific religion. Just fucking treat people with dignity.

Religion has always been a lazy excuse to explain things that people to don't understand or a manipulative tool to keep people in line. The richest city in the world is the Vatican. The lure of an easy solution to life's problems by simply believing in something that can't be explained is insane. If you got issues or unhappy, simply cracking a book of fairy tales, wives-tales and cliche's is not going to change anything. But religion does have a good side, at least we know where most of the morons are most of the time and that keeps them off the road and out of the stores where I'm shopping.

...but it seems what Head is lacking is BALANCE. Going from a two-year crack binge to a messiah complex is just one extreme to another. Would it have killed him to just lay off the crack, maybe keep smoking cigarettes and drinking coffee and possibly get a hobby to keep him sane? I hear stamp collecting is a lot of fun. I mean, Warrel Dane and Gene Hoglan have both recently quit their drinking habits, but they're still the same dudes. They've found other activities such as reading, exercise or whatnot to fill the gap. And as a bonus, their respective art has a new focus to it.

This is dumb.
I loved how when this first happened,Head was saying that God wanted him to write a song for 50 Cent,he got a tattoo so he wouldn't wack off and he still loved and respected everyone.
I was just waiting for one side to start the bashing. I'm not suprised it was Davis.
My belief system is MINE. I'm not going to shove it down the throats of people that don't think the same way I do,nor am I going to buy into some church that praises the almighty dollar. Maybe I'm wrong but religion should be a personal and private choice.
I think Davis is genuinely hurt and confused over Head's 100% change and I think Head needs to have his head examined!
Oh yeah,one more thing:I can't stand Korn's music.It is annoying as fuck,not that it has anything to do with religion.

Hypothetically if that were to happen (which is won't) but if it did, I would explain to god that not only is his 'letter' to us, being the bible, completely nonsensical and fowled, but he left absolutely no evidence of himself to be found, in fact, he left quite the opposite. You poor poor misinformed human being. If you believe the bible has no mistakes in it - you are either: 1. completely ignorant. 2. choose to ignore the facts because you 'need' to believe. But, then again, we are talking about a person here who believs a snake talked and people lived in the belly of a whale for 3 days. So I don't expect to get much of an intelligent response from you.
And by the way, hell? Nope, does not exist. Check out the hebrew word for hell. You will find it was nothing more than a fire furace they used to burn trash in (and the occasional sinner) funny how something can turn into a complete myth and drive mindless people like you to actually believe it.

You shouldn't shove stuff down people that is true. But also you should just back off you all need a life and give Brian a break grow up and learn to agree on at least one thing besides Korn sucks and always will. Agree on something like hey Brian is right about God.
