EVANESCENCE Frontwoman Sued By Former Management Company

According to TMZ.com, EVANESCENCE frontwoman Amy Lee is being sued by her former management company over alleged unpaid commissions.
Under the agreement, Rider Management was entitled to 20 percent of gross earnings. Lee gave Rider the boot and claims she has no obligation to pay the management company. Rider begs to differ and wants a minimum of $10 million.
EVANESCENCE's major-label debut, "Fallen", has sold 6.36 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan.

but come on, 20% of gross? That is fucking robbery. Take out that 20% but still pay taxes on it, then pay 37% on the overall taxes. Now we are talking 43% before after taxes and before expenses. Gotta pay the rest of the people, etc. That is fucking ridiculous.
Can I stand this band, no. Fuck I hate her whiney ass voice. But in this one, i hope she wins. That is a prime example of a management company trying to screw a young group that doens't know better.
More power to her on this one just because it might enlighten some others.

They're going to do like every other band...basicly once they reach their peak they never try to get close to that at all cause the fire is lost...however their music to me is mindless dribble to begin with and very weak.

Last I checked this was still a COMMENT board!! Open to opinions that might not agree with your own.
I have never liked this band and I stated as such since I see I have the right to do so on this board, as does anyone else.
I dont post comments about every band that I like or dont like, but this Evanescence crap is special...REAL SPECIAL!
I would enjoy very much to see GEN of GENITORTURERS beat the shit out of Amy Lee....and dog porn is sick by the way, but a little girl fight(S&M romp) is very amusing.

Okay, I know you guys are entitled for your opinions, but a lot of the stuff you've been saying is extremely offensive.
1.) Amy is not fat. She's just not a stick like Britney Spears and Jessica Simpson are. I think her weight is perfect.
2.) Amy has a great voice. Maybe her voice isn't as great as Tarja Turunen's, Christina Scabbia, Sharon Adel, or Simone Simons, but it's still wonderful. Her voice matches the music perfectly.
3.) Amy doesn't sound great live, I admit. But at least she sings live. You try singing, headbanging, and wearing a corset at the same time and see how hard it is. I think she does very well and pulls it off nicely. You don't see people like Sharon Adel and Tarja doing such things. All Sharon Adel does is wave her arms like a monkey. I have nothing against Sharon and I love Within Temptation, but that's what she does. Tarja basically stands in one place and does a little this and a little that. I'd prefer to watch someone who actually moves and puts emotion in their music. And she might've sounded really bad at Rock in Rio, but she pulled it off nicely.
Just to let you know, Amy isn't giving her career up for a silly lawsuit. The new album is going to be amazing, according to Rocky's sister. It's a lot heavier and better in a lot of ways. There's more choral and orchestral things added to it. That's because Amy is running the show, no longer Ben. Ben Moody is gone and this gives Amy more leadway to make what she wants.
