WHITESNAKE: 'In The Still Of The Night' DVD Trailer Posted Online - Dec. 5, 2005
A trailer for WHITESNAKE's long-awaited live DVD, "In the Still of the Night", has been posted online at this location. The disc is scheduled for release on January 27, 2006 via AFM Records/Soulfood/CHS.

"In the Still of the Night", which was recorded with 13 cameras in October 2004 at the Hammersmith Apollo in London, was supposed to come out in time for the band's summer's U.S. tour, but was pushed back to later in the year because the producer suffered a heart attack. "The guy who's been coordinating everything has just had a heart attack," WHITESNAKE frontman David Coverdale told Launch. "I said, 'Was it that good?' I'm gonna put on the, the thing a disclaimer for, 'WHITESNAKE are not responsible for speeding tickets or damage to home furnishings.' You know, evidently now, we're gonna have to be, 'or cardiac arrest!'"

Produced by Coming Home Studios, in association with Done & Dusted, and shot in 1080/24PsF High Definition, the DVD features four different audio soundtracks — stereo, 5.1 SRS Circle Surround, 5.1 Multi-channel, and 5.1 DTS.

The DVD, directed by celebrated live concert director Hamish Hamilton (credits include U2, MADONNA, RED HOT CHILI PEPPERS and USHER), also boasts a behind-the-scenes documentary and photo gallery. A 10-song, 59 minute live CD is included in the package.

I really luv track #1, 3, 5, 6, 13 & 15. The track on the "Metal-Stripped" is really heart-wrenching. He sings it w/such feeling of melancholy that I have to sob when I hear it while singing-along. I luv it!

i'll assume the bass player here is Marco Mendoza. He used to be in Blue Murder and Thin Lizzy, and some Lizzy fanatic friends of mine saw him playing with Lizzy and said he was a disgrace to Phil Lynott's memory. All cock rock poser shit. Plays a great bass though......

COMMENT | Damn.

My best mate is a bass player, he loves Phil Lynott, and he just HATED Marco Mendoza when he saw "Thin Lizzy" recently.

Whitesnake rocks, though. Long live Coverdale!
