CANNIBAL CORPSE To 'Kill' In March

Legendary death metallers CANNIBAL CORPSE have set "Kill" as the title of their tenth album, due on March 21 via Metal Blade Records. The CD is being recorded at Mana Studios in St. Petersburg, Florida with producer Erik Rutan (MORBID ANGEL, HATE ETERNAL).
With regards to the new album's musicial direction, the band had previously said, "We are doing everything we can to make sure it's the heaviest, most brutal one we've ever made."
CANNIBAL CORPSE have yet to announce a permanent replacement for guitarist Jack Owen, who left the band in 2004. The group have been utilizing session musicians for their recent touring activities, including Jeremy Turner (ex-ORIGIN) and Rob Barrett (who played with the band from 1993 to 1997 and appeared on "The Bleeding" and "Vile" albums).

Let me ask the corpse fans something. Does anyone think that the later albums are too technical sounding? I feel like they should go back to writing great riffs and songs with disgusting lyrics ( i guess they still do that, but chris barnes was the master at writing obscene lyrics). I mean after bloodthirsty i couldn't even listen to their other albums. Maybe they should just tour. What do you think?

You'd actually rather listen to Phil Anselmo's, I can no longer sing after years of doing too many drugs voice than the Corpse? Wow, Superjoint is such a shit band, it hurts me to listen to them, especially knowing the vocal range that Phil used to be capable of.

You know if Dave finds out you been in his office your screwed!!! All that it takes is one fucking phone call and a service van will be there like in under an hour. And by the way there is no cure for AIDS. I seen them. There little purple dots. They look like diamonds. You might wanna pick up the phone. Now what you wanna do is stay around the center line. Moving the red and blue lines will take practice. Although many of these features are outdated and brought forward in the new version of Cakewalk Professional its a great way to learn. Make sure you use your cut and paste commands. They save time and money. And it really is a good idea to save a copy just in case you fuck up the original. Yeah it sucks starting over again but what the hell it always ends up better the next time around.

They went in a different direction after the Vile album.Its gonna be interesting to hear what they sound like without Jack Owen playing guitar in the studio for the first time since the band's beginning.

personally i like "The Bleeding" the best. with Corpsegrinder on vocals i like "Gallery of Suicide" the best.

Upon first listening to Vile, any doubts I had towards Corpsegrinder were laid to rest. It's one of my fave CC albums.
And BLOODTHIRST - fucking awesome.
I can't wait for this. Erik Rutan is the man.

Isn't exactly death metal, I consider them thrash. Some of thier songs are, most aren't. I'm talking about the 1000 death metal groups with cookie monster vocals who all sing about the same shit. Makes me wonder how people can tell them apart. Lame and un-original.

Slayer are indeed PURE THRASH METAL!
Anyway: Listen to Nile "Amongst the Catacombs of Nephren-Ka", then listen to Morbid Angel's "Blessed are the Sick", then to Carcass' "Heartwork" and then to Deicide's "Legion". If you can't tell the difference you must be deaf.
Death metal is varied and rules.

i agree with u wholeheartdely man.bloodthirsty was the last one i really really liked.gore obsessed sucked.and the last one was decent if not a wee bit overrated.the barnes era of cannibal corpse is still the best!!!!!.no death metal band has topped the bleeding!!!!!!.though deicide with serpents of the light,vital remains with dechristanize, cannibal corpse with corpsegrinder on gallery of suicide and any opeth cd (though there a differnt kind of death metal)came close.the bleeding still holds my head and heart.as the best TRUE death metal cd ever!!!.

That is one dumb cd name!! Id like to imagine Erik Rutan will pick up the strings and help out Cannibal Corpse that would be AMAZING!!
I dont like the drumming paul does it always falls short of what the guitars and bass do! I hope he will pick up the pace!
Why do they always say they will top what they did before? They have yet to top Bloodthirst for its technicality and Wrecthed Spawn was meh as Gore Obessed!

yeah dude cc riffs are bad ass,but these motha fuckers keep a perfect balance between both.Check out Descency Defied.The riff on that track is fucking awesome dude.Then you have they deserve to die,all this is newer stuff,and the brutality is all there.Man I know I wont be dissapointed,as for the title are you guys kidding me,everyone think of one word that cc reminds you of KILL man,thats waht their songs are about.
