VINNIE PAUL's First On-Camera Interview Since DIMEBAG's Death To Air On 'Headbanger's Ball'

Former PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN drummer Vinnie Paul Abott's first on-camera interview since losing his brother, "Dimebag" Darrell Abbott, on December 8, 2004 will air on MTV2's "Headbanger's Ball" this weekend as part of a "Dime Tribute" special. The two-hour program will kick off at midnight Saturday and will feature "tons" of PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN videos, plus clips by some of Dimebag's favorite bands/artists. In addition, a number of musicians will share their thoughts on Dime's life and legacy. HATEBREED frontman Jamey Jasta will host the show.

Holy mother fucking shit... tis alrdy been a year...seems like it was sum weeks ago =/... shit time passes so fast exactly 1 year ago after knowing bout dimes death, Pantera songs were the only ones playing on my playlist...and i got pretty drunk on the following party days in Dime's memory...damn i still miss him a lot but im sure today he's ripping the hell outta guitar with the crew up there in the heavens while having sum nice shots of Black tooth...yeah...Dime is a god...keep shredding up there bro

I specifically remember a funny incident when we did a show together in Hamburg Germany in the red light district known as the Reeperbahn. Dime's tour tradition was to get a tattoo in honor of his favorite bands he toured with. Right before the show, he walked into the club and showed us his brand new black-and-white tattoo on his lower leg of a black tooth grin.
"We were like, 'No fucking way, that's insane!' to which he replied, 'Yeah dad, Black Tooth Grin, just like in 'Sweating Bullets'.' Funny thing is I've seen other people get that same tattoo over the years, all in honor of Dime, and it always brings a grin to my face remembering how nuts he was to go out and get a tattoo in that part of town in our honor!

Man.. I cant believe its been a year! God damn.. I wish this would have never happened! I wish that stupid club had more security!, I hope they win that lawsuit. But the damage has been done... RIP DIME..I miss you \m/
