MUSHROOMHEAD Sign With MEGAFORCE RECORDS

MUSHROOMHEAD have reportedly inked a brand-new deal with Megaforce Records. The group's follow-up to 2003's "XIII" (Republic/Universal) is tentatively expected in early 2006.
MUSHROOMHEAD are continuing to play headline shows with their new vocalist Waylon, replacing J-Mann, who left the band late last year. Remaining dates for 2005 are as follows:
Dec. 09 - Orono, ME - Ushuaia
Dec. 10 - Southbridge, MA - The Mill
Dec. 13 - Davenport, IA - Quad City Live
Dec. 14 - Milwaukee, WI - The Eagles Club
Dec. 15 - Mokena, IL - The Pearl Room
Dec. 16 - Battle Creek, MI - Planet Rock
Dec. 17 - Flint, MI - The Machine Shop
MUSHROOMHEAD released their first DVD, "Volume 1", in August via the band's The Filthy Hands Company label.

Good, now their new album might be released outside of a twenty meter radius of their touring van. I have faith in another awesome album from these guys, I was just worried that I'd have to drive to Cleveland ::shudders:: to get it.

You guys prove the biggest point about the Slipknot/Mushroomhead debate. The bands have no problems with one another, it's the fans who make an ordeal of it all. They had no idea each other existed. They were both small bands in their respective hometowns wearing masks. There are no copycats. Again, this debate is a fan debate; fans are going to like who they are going to like and defend their bands. But know that the bands have no problems with one another.

Haha, that's true I suppose, seeing as I have never heard of Megaforce Records. But I live in Wisconsin, which might be close enough to get some distribution of this album. I guess I can always go on Amazon.com and get the album pretty easy.

yeah these guys are relatively unamazing musically...everyone around here (NE Ohio) thinks this band is the greatest thing that ever happened to music...they're a second tier band in a dead genre on a small (yet legendary) label...they don't have much left...

They launched some nobody bands called Metallica, Megadeth, Anthrax, Overkill, Vio-lence...I could go on. You young kids seem so bent on showing how little you know. Do a little research and you will find that neither Slipknot or Mushroomhead really matter at all.

yeah. Mushroomhead started about a year or two before Slipknot if i'm not mistaken. i like this band. they're great live. haven't been able to see them at The Machine Shop in a couple of years, they always sell out before i can get a ticket. but their side-project 216 is really fuckin' good, too. they need to release another 216 album, the first one was from like 1998.

Man I saw these guys in Vegas and they were fucking lip synching and not playing their own instruments. It was fucking pathetic Dope (one of the worst bands of all time) opened and destroyed this fucks.
All the people fucking booed and left within like three songs.
fuck this band they and ashlee simpson got to much in common

I just really like there music and song writing. And that says alot, because I love to rip apart talentless fucks, and these guys don't appear to individually have alot of skills on there instruments. But, goddamn, their songs are right fucking cool!
Like Pete Steele once said, quoting one of his concert goers:
"I think you're a dick, and I hate your fucking band... but I can't get your songs out of my head!"
...I think that guy got a punch in the face.

sorry but i think i have to watch my tool dissectional dvd at least once a week that fucki thing still amazes me as for mushroomhead ive seen them three times over the past 6 years. when they were still on their on indi label i actually bought X, then again when they got signed to universal and then XIII always good live kool guys but them n pics dont mix, they always cover their faces when they don thave their masks on but megaforce it gonna help them about as much as universal did, yea they started the above mentioned bands such as anthrax and such but look who they have now(Powerman 5000), come on, how can they help mushroomhead

I don't like Mushroomhead at all, HOWEVER, I just found out that I've had a cd for almost 10 years where almost all of the members of Mushroomhead are a part of. The band is called HATRIX. They sound more thrashy than anything, and nothing like Mushroomhead at all really, except for Jeff's vocals. This was BEFORE Mushroomhead, and the album is called CollisionCourseWithNoPlace. If you like Jeff's vocals, and you like thrash, then check this cd out. Anyone who thinks Mushroomhead's guitarist sucks, listen to him on this fucking cd. What he does now is NOTHING compared to the talent he used in Hatrix. In fact, one of my favorite guitar solos of all time is track 7, a song called Status. Check out BNR's metalpage for more information if you're interested. Hatrix owns Mushroomhead any day of the week. You're welcome.

Whos said Mushroomhead wasn't playing their own insturment because when I saw them they sure looked like they were to me especially seeing that I was like face-to-face with Bronson of that band and I even grabbed his guitar and watched up close of him playing his insturment and his pick was fucking touching the guitar so whoever said they wern't playing their insturment is fucking stupid
