DREAM THEATER To Play 20th Anniverary Concert At NYC's Radio City Music Hall

DREAM THEATER are rumored to be planning a very special 20th anniversary show at the Radio City Music Hall in New York City sometime in early 2006. The concert, the exact date for which will be announced soon, will reportedly be filmed for an upcoming DVD.
DREAM THEATER are continuing to tour in support of their latest album, "Octavarium", which came out in early June. The band's next live appearance will take place Saturday night (Dec. 10) at the Credicard Hall in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

Great set at Gigantour..... put on a better show than Megadeth in my opinion....just loose the cheesy "soft rock" wankery. Still, I will be at this show fo' sho'.

This band was so fucking good and then Kevin Moore left. Octavarium follows in the recent fashion of a few good songs and then the remainging 60% of the CD to be a complete bore. There are too many songs that are like bad Elton John rejects that desperately search for a hook in the same fashion Natalie Holloways Mom searches for Natalie. On a positive note, Charlie is not in the band and DT can still play really fast.
P.S. I really think Mike Portnoy is a dick and needs to get rid of his pompus "Iron Mike Portnoy" robe.
I'm going to practice my bass taps now. Go fuck yer sister.........

some of DT's songs are great listening to while they also have a buch of crap tunes. Just Focus on writing songs that Kick ASS and then maybe ill buy a ticket to see you wankers.

their "crap tunes" give fans a variety. If you just want to listen to the same fucking song rewritten 12 times go listen to a 12 stones cd or some shit like that. not everyone feels the need to write a 4 bar song that repeats 27 thousand times.

Ok I know no one is going to bother reading what I have to say, but Dream Theater is a extreamly good band. Yes there last cd wasnt as good as there older ones... and I think James Lebree should use heavier vocals instead of his umm more "crappy" vocals... but all the members are extreamly talented and they are under appreciated in this world full of rap and emo fruits who couldnt write a good song unless there lives depended on it. But I am rambling so adios

Train of Though was pretty good, so was scenes from a memory, but the new cd was a disappointment. There was like two or three songs that sounded like crap. Good for them though there playing Radio City

I thought they were good on Gigantour also. I still like megadeth better and I am happy that I got to see them when they did have marty and nick. The only thing Idon't dig about DT is the singing. Its not that the notes are bad but just the over all style is too whiney for me. I can ignore that totaly and the guy sings for like 3 minutes and then leaves the stage and the music is awsome. But later on I actually thought about it and the singing is really not all that different from old ozzy songs so I came to bypass my annoyance towards the singing. As musicians they are still insane and put on a very good show. I will go to this show if I can.

Saw the live in Santiago past tuesday. Incredible. But I have to say this "Studio album - Studio album - 3CD live album/DVD - Studio album - Studio album - 3CD live album/DVD..." thing is starting to piss me off!! Gimme a break!! Gimme some time to save some fucking money first! A 3CD set and a DVD ain't cheap!

see... there are people who just love Dream Theater for what ever they do cuz theyre awsome, and there are those who hear them and wont like them all the way cuz they dont like the softer parts, and start making fun of them, DT is fine with theyre loyal friend cuz thyre DIFFERENT than any other band out there, thats why we love em.
why would i want to hear the same bands with the same songs over and over? and i listen to a lot of stuff ranging from Judas Priest to Children of Bodom
