DANKO JONES: New Album To Feature Guest Appearance By Former KYUSS Frontman - Dec. 14, 2005
More details have surfaced about Canadian power trio DANKO JONES' upcoming album, "Sleep Is the Enemy", due in late February 2006 (depending on the country) in mainland Europe, with the rest of the world to follow shortly thereafter.

"Sleep Is the Enemy" was produced and engineered by Matt DeMatteo at Record High Productions in Toronto and was mixed by Vic Florencia at Phase One Studios in Toronto. Mastering duties were handled by Ted Jensen at Sterling Sound in New York (Ted's previous work includes GREEN DAY "American Idiot" and R.E.M. "Around The Sun"). Artwork was created by WalseCustomDesign.com.

The complete track listing for the effort is as follows:

01. Sticky Situation
02. Baby Hates Me
03. Don't Fall In Love
04. She's Drugs
05. The Finger
06. First Date
07. Invisible (featuring John Garcia from KYUSS/HERMANO)
08. Natural Tan
09. When Will I See You
10. Time Heals Nothing
11. Sleep Is the Enemy

In the U.S. the album will be released by the New York-based record label Razor & Tie (distribution through Sony/BMG) and in Canada, DANKO recently signed with Aquarius/DKD (distribution through EMI).

After spending close to seven months on the road in the U.S. sharing stages with (among others) TURBONEGRO, FLOGGING MOLLY, OUR LADY PEACE, (INTERNATIONAL) NOISE CONSPIRACY, MANDO DIAO and the SUPERSUCKERS, DANKO will be back out on the West Coast to support SOCIAL DISTORTION beginning in late January. One of the most dependable live bands around. I've seen them plenty of times and can not imagine them ever failing to deliver shit hot rock n' roll. That's why I've got my ticket for the European tour in March. Danko Jones believe whole-heartedly in rock n' roll, and if you can't see that you're a fool.
