BLACK SABBATH Drummer To Guest On TONY IOMMI's Radio Show - Dec. 16, 2005
According to a posting on Black-Sabbath.com, BLACK SABBATH drummer Bill Ward will guest on SABBATH guitarist Tony Iommi's inaugural weekly radio show on the U.K.'s classic rock radio station Planet Rock on Sunday, December 18 between 7:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. GMT (2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m. EST).

Planet Rock had previously issued the following description of Iommi's program: "Each week, Tony will be joined by colleagues and friends from all walks of life who indulge in a common passion for rock music. He will also share his experiences from over 30 years at the top table of rock’s aristocracy, and reveal the stories behind BLACK SABBATH's most famous songs. Tony will also invite unsigned bands to send in their demos and will play his pick on air."

Planet Rock is available on DAB digital radio across the UK, 861 Sky, ntl 880, telewest 924 and at www.planetrock.co.uk. Listeners can send requests for their favorite tracks to Tony at tony.iommi@planetrock.com. Demos from unsigned bands should go to: Tony Iommi, Planet Rock, 7 Swallow Place, London, W1B 2AG.

...but I don't think a radio conversation between to guys from Birmingham will be very enjoyable. People rag on Ozzy....I can't understand a word Tony says!

Love the stuff with Dio and also like Born Again with Gillan on the pipes.

Seventh Star with Hughes should have been an Iommi solo album as it barely resembles anything Sabbath.

As far as the Martin years - sorry to say - I haven't even heard a single recording of it.

Go to black-sabbath.com It's an excellent site. It has all the info you need. I assume you mean Tony Martin, the stuff with him is ok but does not sound anything like Classic Sabbath,as Tony Iommi was the only original member left at that point, I'm not realy a fan. The best post ozzy stuff had Ronnie Dio singing, those albums were Heaven and Hell; Mob Rules; the live cd Live Evil and the 1992 cd Dehumanizer very good and underated I might add. As for me the original line up is where it is truly at, but hey happy listening and rock on.
P.S. go to amazon .com and you can listen to song samples from whatever cd you want

bill on tonys show could be classic. think about the war stories one may hear, that we have not heard yet. anything involving pranks on bill would be funny. poor guy; he wore more cakes thatn he ate. but he took it all it good nature and never seemed pissed about it.

i'd really like to see them play stuff people have never heard (
