BLACK SABBATH Bassist's Rare 1986 Demo Recording Available For Download - Dec. 16, 2005
BLACK SABBATH bassist Geezer Butler has uploaded a special Christmas gift to his fans on his web site — a downloadable MP3 from the GEEZER BUTLER BAND back in 1986. The song is "Computer God", and you can download the file at this location (.ZIP file, 6.5 MB). A few background points on the track:

The band on the song is Geezer Butler (bass), Pedro Howse (guitar), Carl Sentance (vocals), Jezz Woodroffe (keyboards), and Gary Ferguson (drums). This was part of an unreleased recording session back in 1986 done in at Rockfield Studios, in Momouthshire, Wales. The song shares its title with a song from the BLACK SABBATH "Dehumanizer" album. However, other than the song title, there is no relation between the two tracks. In Geezer's own words, "I borrowed the title from it for 'Dehumanizer'."

Go to black-sabbath.com It's an excellent site. It has all the info you need. I assume you mean Tony Martin, the stuff with him is ok but does not sound anything like Classic Sabbath,as Tony Iommi was the only original member left at that point, I'm not realy a fan. The best post ozzy stuff had Ronnie Dio singing, those albums were Heaven and Hell; Mob Rules; the live cd Live Evil and the 1992 cd Dehumanizer very good and underated I might add. As for me the original line up is where it is truly at, but hey happy listening and rock on.
P.S. go to amazon .com and you can listen to song samples from whatever cd you want

Is my favorite post-Ozzy Sabbath album. I wasn't big on the Dio albums except for Heaven And Hell. Some good songs, but not consistant enough to be great albums.

Like the others have said, "Heaven and Hell" and "Mob Rules" are absolutely classic Black Sabbath albums. At minimum purchase those.

is NO Black Sabbath.

That being said, out of BS's ENTIRE catalog, the only 2 albums I don't really like are 1978's Never Say Die (last one with Ozzy) and 1995's Forbidden. EVERYTHING else from BS RULES, be it Ozzy, Dio, Giilan, or Martin (my fave line up by the way is the Dio line up, but that's just my opinion).

All of the BS releases with Tony Martin (Eternal Idol, Headless Cross, TYR, Cross Purposes) are awesome except Forbidden where, I heard, he was called in at the last minute when Dio bailed. For some reason, maybe at Iommi's request, Martin tries to do a Dio impression and it just sounds bad.

Don't go into it expecting Iron Man, Sweet Leaf and Paranoid. Just think of it as another great set of releases from a hard rock band in the 80's. TYR is my fav. co-produced by the late, great drummer Cozy Powell.

"When Death Calls" off of Headless Cross is one of my top 10 songs of all time.
