Original JUDAS PRIEST Singer ATKINS Releases Promotional DVD: Samples Available - Dec. 16, 2005
Original JUDAS PRIEST frontman Al Atkins has just released a new promotional DVD. Produced by Mpeguk Ltd, the DVD (released on DVD-R) includes music videos of three selected tracks off his new CD, "Demon Deceiver - The Sin Sessions": the title track, "Demon Deceiver", "Cradle to the Grave" and the JUDAS PRIEST classic "Victim of Changes". The musicians include BUDGIE guitarist Simon Lees, DANTE FOX guitarist Mike de Jager, VASELINE RATS bass player Pete MZ Emms, drummers Mick Hales and Adrian Badlands, and guitarist Chris Johnson. The videos include footage shot during the recording of the tracks at MAGNUM's Madhat Studios, JB's Live Music Venue and during Al's tour of the U.S.

Check out sample clips at www.mpeguk.com. Free downloads, including iPod downloads, will be available on the site shortly.

Al has recorded "Victim of Changes" three times on different albums over the last 15 years since he turned solo. "This time it's a much shorter and faster version than before. It's fucking awesome," Atkins said. Also appearing on the album is a song called "Drown", which is said to be a duet between Al and Kansas-based vocalist/guitarist Johnny Lokke.

fuckin cares. I have never hear him sing with Priest so I wish they would quit saying "original frontman" of Priest. Just let the guy have his own career and his own name without bringing up Priest. Priest never even put any albums out with him singing. If they did, I sure never heard any.

ummmm... excellent move, getting rid of this hack

it was what... 32 years ago they got rid of him?

If I was one of the guys in Priest, i would sic the barristers on him and slap a cease and desist order on him, preventing him from trying to associate himself with Priest.

COMMENT | I dont know about you guys...

What the hell is that? Why doesnt he just put
these video's on his website... why would anyone
care anyway? So he wrote some of Victim Of Changes
how does that qualify him to use the Judas Priest
name 30 years later?

The band sounds pretty good but his vocals are just awful, I can see why Judas Priest got rid of him. Halford is the man and the only singer for Priest. Screamin For Vengeance and Defenders Of The Faith are two of the greatest metal albums ever.

I always thought Ripper was the best vocalist Priest ever had...but now I've read this article...um...I still think so.

He didn't come up with it, he borrowed it from a Dylan song. So he's getting royalties for calling the band a lyric from a Bob Dylan song, lucky fucker
