FLAMETAL Flamenco/Metal Hybrid Band Featuring WHITESNAKE Bassist To Make Hollywood Debut - Dec. 17, 2005
Hotly tipped San Francisco-based flamenco/metal hybrid band FLAMETAL will be making their Southern California live debut this Saturday, December 17 at Bar Sinister, 1652 N. Cherokee Ave., Hollywood, CA 90028. For more info call: 323-769-7070.

FLAMETAL who combine the flamenco shred of Paco DeLucia with hard-edged Bay Area metal, are the brainchild of virtuoso acoustic guitarist/vocalist Benjamin Woods and consist of Hawaiian native Brian Spalding (ex-AARONSROD) on electric guitar, bassists Uriah Duffy (WHITESNAKE) and Angeline Saris, and drummer Thomas Perry. The group's unortodox stage show also features traditional flamenco dancers, Melissa Cruz and Fanny Ara.

FLAMETAL's self-released 2005 debut CD, "The Elder", is available through the band's CD Baby store at this location. MP3s of the title track and "Cuatro Caballeros" can be downloaded here.

If you like this, you should check out the spanish band TRIANA, a band from the seventies. Awesome mix of '70 Prog Rock + lots of flamenco on the vocals, guitars...
Check the record "El Patio".
