ACE FREHLEY: 'Greatest Hits Live' Cover, Track Listing Revealed

The track listing has been revealed for the new ACE FREHLEY (ex- KISS) compilation titled album, "Greatest Hits Live", due on January 24, 2006 via Megaforce Records. According to a press release, this CD "represents some of the best work from legendary KISS guitarist Ace Frehley during the period after his highly publicized departure from one of the greatest rock bands of all time." As with the previous Megaforce ACE FREHLEY releases "12 Picks" (1996) and "Loaded Deck" (1997), Ace himself had nothing to do with putting this package together. one of the Coolest Guitarists of all time. Not the most technical by light years but the spaciest with the greatest feel and signature style.
Ace's solos on Strange ways and Going blind gives me an orgasm!

Why shouldn´t he champion Dream Theater??? Those guys both play and write better songs than any of your favourite bands regardless of who they are.
Frehley´s Comet had some great tracks like Rock Soldiers, Into the night and all the Tod Howarth tracks but this compilation is still lame. I like KISS but for Ace as a guitarist........he sucks

some will just never get it,kiss and ace are awesome.he influenced soo many players even dimebag...and i dont think it was cause of any sloppiness.he wrote kiss classics that kiss still plays even on the last tour.ace has been there done that dozens times over not many can say that ,some assholes dont know how to respect musicians who paved the way and opened many doors for tons of bands.

Dream Theater was essentially a 3rd rate Rush knock-off, until they got James LaBrie on board. Now they're just a 3rd rate, pseudo-"prog" band.
As far as them not having ever included any covers on their albums - all I have to say is, "A Change of Seasons".
...And yes - Dream Theater are the very DEFINITION of safe. Go listen to some Faust or Univers Zero and then we'll talk about how "edgy" and "daring" Dream Theater is, was and will be.

Oh - and "Alive" is one of the greatest rock albums EVER. It's albums like that that render DT as no more than a footnote in the history of pompous, "look-at-how-proficient-I-am-at-my-respective-instrument", borderline-AOR history.

Fucking-A he did. PLUS he appeared on the cover of Guitar World wearing Ace makeup (with Ace standing right beside him), PLUS he and Vinnie recorded a cover of Ace's Snowblind, PLUS he was buried in a Kiss coffin.
The list of guys who picked up a guitar because of Ace is fucking endless.
Ace could get more feeling from holding an A chord than DT could get on a whole album.

dt vs. kiss ??!!?? what kind of argument is that? that's an apples vs. oranges kind of thing. i'd bet that thr dt fellas are old school kiss fans though...
anyway, i met ace, john & anton on either the first or second frehleys comet tour & all three were completely cool guys who all let us hang out & have a brew with them, even though we were just pesky kids. great bunch of guys who will always get my support because of that. john regan has had quite a career in music as well.
dime also covered 'fractured mirror' on some kiss tribute cd.

I own every DT album AND every KISS album, i like 'em both. I can't really compare them, they're totally different..
Yeah, DT are obviously more technically talented than KISS
Yeah, KISS are obviously more interesting to watch visually than DT
DT have some crap songs, and some great songs. KISS have some great songs...and quite a few crap songs.
I got the new G3 dvd with Petrucci the other week, yeah we know he's great. But you have to admit, that as a frontman/showman...he's not much. Really noticeable when Steve Vai comes on after him...
What is the point of this post?

First of all, this is an Ace Frehley story. What the hell does Dream Theater have to do with story other than some moron shouting about them?
Second of all, Opeth could play rings around Dream Theater.
Third, Dream Theater is something Yes invented one day while taking a dump. Who gives a crap how well they can read techinal writing? They have no soul and they basically suck when compared to those who invented the style.
As for Ace, he was the coolest one in Kiss. His solos were excellent for feel. Trouble is, you have be a real expert to figure out which songs the credits say Ace played on and the one's (Bob, not Bruce) Kulick played on. I think it's safe to say the first three albums for sure. Parasite has been ripped off more times than Britney Spears panties.

saw every mothers nightmare open for dream theater about 13 years ago and EMN rocked, DT bored the shit out of me, they would have been more entertaining if they hadnt played 4 songs in 2 hours time. 30 minutes songs bore me i think once a song reaches 5 minutes its time to end it, thats why i hate "jam bands". DT is talented BUT boring to watch, they became background music after the 1st song while i wandered around and socialized during the concert.
KISS is very entertaining they will hold your attention and make you not wanna wander off to socialize like DT does

What´s the fucking problem here. Both DT and KISS are great in their own way. Both have a shitload of great song. KISS has a better liveshow while DT usually have higher quality songs and playing.
Own all KISS and DT albums and most of them are great.
