AMON AMARTH To Begin Working On New Album In January - Dec. 18, 2005
Sweden's AMON AMARTH have posted the following message on their official web site:

"Well, the U.S. tour is over for this time. We've had a fucking great time during these six weeks, and we'd like to thank CHILDREN OF BODOM and their crew for a fantastic tour. Thanks also to TRIVIUM with crew, and good luck on the IN FLAMES tour. Last but not least, thanks to all you fans — old and new — who came to the shows and made every one of them a magical experiense! Special thanks to those of you who bought us beers and booze. We truly appreciate it, and we hope to see you all next time around!

"The plan now is to take a couple of weeks off, before we start working on the new album in January. The recording is scheduled for May/June this year.

"We wish you all the best for the end of this year, and a great 2006!"

AMON AMARTH's latest album, "Fate of Norns", is available on Metal Blade Records.

I love these guys, they don't have a bad album. They put on a great live show as well.

Can't wait, it'll be sick.

About Ulver.. there's one album of folkish black metal, and one thats just folk music straight up. And a raw black metal album too, but that's not viking or folk..

to be honest, this is probably my favorite band, and they have been for awhile...they are absolutely everything a death metal band should be in that they gradually progress and improve w/each and every album w/o losing their core sound...like someone said above, i don't think they've ever written a single bad album or song...very melodic, but w/o losing any brutality...this is the kind of band that makes death metal still worthwhile...can't say enough good things about these guys...

Yeah. It's time to gather some more sticks and leaves. That's what the world needs, another Hollywood glam band touring around the world promoting their talentless crap. The whole entire Viking act is a joke, leave that to Unleashed. And who the fuck is OMAR? Is that supposed to be their God?

Been waiting for a new one. I hope the AA guys read these boards sometimes, because I really missed the soloing on the last album. I like the production and songs, but find myself gonig back to it less than the other albums. I'm pretty sure it's due to only Arson having any leads. We'll see.

Amon Amarth are simply amazing. Like the people said above...not a bad album or even a bad song. I saw these guys with Trivium and Children of Bodom last week in NYC.....simply amazing. So much energy onstage. Great tunes, heavy as shit yet catchy and melodic. The perfect mix of brutality and melody. And a very nice group of guys too.

These guys are one of my all time favs and deserve their own headline tour next time through the States. Great band live as well - this next album should be incredible with the time and effort they plan on putting into it. Lets hope it gets out before the end of 2006.
