TYPE O NEGATIVE will be releasing a DVD, entitled "Symphony for the Devil (The World of Type O Negative)", in Europe on February 24, 2006 via SPV (March 14, 2006 in the U.S.). They're good songwriters and their sense of humour rules. I still remember them starting a gig in England playing "Back in the USSR" (The Beatles song) With Peter Steele (Real name Petrov Stalin, descendant of the infamous Dictator) wearing a Red Army uniform. The crowd didn't quite like that. Or think about the title of their "Best Of": "The LEAST WORST of Type O Negative"I'll buy the DVD for sure. How about a new album btw? It's been a while since their last release.

I downloaded an avi verison of this show a long time ago and it is incredible, i've never heard type o sound this good. Seriously this is what got me to go out and buy all their stuff. Everyhing about this show is amazing the crowd the lights and like I said the playing is fucking excelent. Weirdly enough when I saw this title I thought to myself "oh great another boring dvd filmed in some shithole club" but now I really can't wait for this. GET IF YOU KNOW WHATS GOOD FOR YOU.

I don't remember where but I saw something about this DVD a couple months back. I figured it was just another bullshit rumor. I'll take anything new from them at this point, even if it is an old show.

I was actually at this show in Koln when I lived in Germany, but I don't remember Faith No More being there. Perhaps they played on Alternative Day (Day 1) with the Chili Peppers and the Offspring (Type O headlined Day 3 with Biohazard on-stage immediately prior). Truly awesome show! I remember that they'd definitely filmed it because they played the concert a couple of weeks after that on Viva 2.

the bizarre fest show was pretty good, but its been bootlegged to death. ive had a copy of this for at least 5yrs. it could be a diff copy, but im sure the whole thing was filmed for german tv.
the danzig show from the same fest is a good one as well(at least i think its from the same fest)
now, how about a tour? last time i saw them they opened with NIB as the curtain was rising.

They also have toured very much since he's been sick either.
It does seem like the video quality for something recorded in 99' wouldn't be as good as something in 2004? but? We'll see?

get it????? Why aren't these guys bigger then they are. I'm a big fan of them and anyone that hears them they all say this damn good. I've yet to meet anyone male or female who did not like Type O Negative. You would think these guys wouldn't have any problem selling a half million albums but in reality they have a hard time selling 100,000.
