KITTIE To Release 'Never Again' EP In February

Canadian metal band KITTIE will be releasing a digital, downloadable EP, entitled "Never Again", on February 7, 2006. Exclusive sneak preview clips of the tracks appearing on the EP will be available on the band's official MySpace.com page before the release date. Starting January 1, one 45-second clip of KITTIE's new material will be available to preview on the official KITTIE MySpace.com page, and a new one will be posted every two weeks until the EP is released. KITTIE, which features sisters Morgan and Mercedes Lander (guitar/vocals and drums, respectively), Trish Doan (bass; ex- HER), and Tara Macleod (guitar; ex- SHERRY), have sold over one million records in the United States since the release of their debut effort, "Spit" ( Artemis), in 2000. KITTIE, who parted ways with guitarist Lisa Marx and bassist Jennifer Arroyo earlier in the year, split with longtime label Artemis Records in March 2005 "due to a proposed amendment to the recording budget for the pending fourth KITTIE album," according to a post on the band's web site. The group's most recent CD, "Until the End", was released in July 2004.

I give these girls a LOT of credit. Afterall, they were touring the MAIN stage at Ozzfest before they were out of High School!!!!
Am I jealous, yes. Am I envious, yes. Do I think Sadochist's music is better? Hell yeah.

as to whether they deserve some respect for the accomplishments (album sales, fame, etc.). i'm gonna vote 'no.' i understand that none of this is any small feat, but if you suck ass while doing it and dont put out a worthwhile product or play your instruments very well, no we don't have to give you any props. just jealous, resentment and negative attention enough due.

but hey, im a chick too, and even a feminist, but i still can call out this band sucks. they even really put me on the spot as a music writer - 'ok, do i give this band press because they are girls and i want to give girls press, or do i not give them press because i think they suck? or do i say they suck, even though thats mean and feeds the chick-hating?' or 'do i give them press because i want to continue to get free shit from artemis, or i do i just ignore them because they suck?' well, i decided to just skip them. anyway, in other genres of music no one gets on anyones case to be nicer on the girls or give them a chance or whatever if they arent talented. like i dont really listen to much tori amos, or any really, even though that one album had some good tracks, but i'm not going to say the reason i dont listen to her is because she sucks. it's because i dont particularly care for her style or it doesnt fit my mood or something. now, ive been into metal for years, and i can listen to opeth and burst all day long, but i KNOW kittie suck balls, and i mean at playing, not like, in their personal lives.

Before I begin, I would just like to say that in all fairness I respect the opinions of others. That said, it is my opinion that all you nay-sayers are a bunch of adolscent-minded fuck-for-brains that have no respect for people that have more talent and success in a single fucking pube hair than you ever will in your whole acne-ridden existence. Kittie has succeeded in the face of adversity, toured the world, played Ozzfest, and has a strong fan base that they are commited to. The band accomplished more before and after graduating high school than most of you anonymity-masked pretards will get the motivation to even attempt to crawl in the general direction of.
It's not the "Kittied sucks" comments that piss me off. It's the blatant disrespect of some of these people that is totally uncalled for. If half of you little bastards/bastardettes tried to make a living like Kittie has, you would completely, utterly fail. And the other half would constantly be shit upon for being so god damned stupid and self-centered because nothing exists outside your personal satisfaction. Fuck you.

Thats one hell of a laugh, If they're so corperate then why aren't they on MTV, VH1 or even Fuse 24/7 like half of this other shyt thats out there...
