Former AC/DC Drummer Joins DAMAGE CONTROL - Jan. 4, 2006
Former AC/DC/ASIA drummer Chris Slade has joined DAMAGE CONTROL, the new band featuring UFO/WAYSTED bassist Pete Way and Robin George. Slade will be joining Pete and Robin in the studio to work on DAMAGE CONTROL's debut album, "Raw", tentatively due later in the year. Several mixes from the forthcoming CD are available for preview at PeteWay.net.

As previously reported, Pete Way's official web site has been updated with audio interviews with Pete and George about DAMAGE CONTROL. Way also talks about the current status of UFO and WAYSTED, bringing drummer Andy Parker back into UFO, the new UFO CD/DVD release "Showtime" and the "Strangers in the Night Critical Review" DVD. Robin also discusses the mixing process for the WAYSTED CD "Back from the Dead" and his past work with such artists as Robert Plant and Phil Lynott. Download the interviews at www.peteway.net.

Or did they not? I think so. The guys getting old - big time... He played with Tom Jones in the freakin 60's didn't he!? Then Manfred Mann, Uriah Heep, The Firm, AC/DC, Asia....oh no, I've gone crosseyed...

COMMENT | Lots of Rock Stars are getting older!

Ya, maybe Chris is getting up there. Still the Rolling Stones are older than he is and people still seem to want to see THOSE geriatric noise makers!

As for Asia firing Chris, you're right. Maybe they did, maybe they didn't. If they did, it was only because he was making them look like the group of no-talent ass-clowns that they are. Those egomaniacs couldn't handle his talent and fan base. Makes me wonder how long Guthrie Govan will last.
