AEROSMITH's Biggest Hit Was Inspired By BARBRA STREISAND

Jeff Walker of the Wilkes Barre Times-Leader has issued the following report: Although "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" is by far and away AEROSMITH's biggest hit, it was not written with them in mind. Songwriter Diane Warren, who is easily the most successful songwriter of the past 20 years, was asked to write a song for the movie "Armageddon" and — as shocking as this sounds — it was largely inspired by Barbra Streisand and James Brolin! Here's how Warren explains how the song evolved after she saw an advance screening of "Armageddon": "I saw some of the scenes, especially in the end where Bruce Willis' character dies. It was very touching. So I wrote 'I Don't Want to Miss a Thing'. I'd had the idea because I heard something that James Brolin said about Barbra Streisand, that he didn't want to go to sleep because he'd miss her. I kept that idea in my mind."

the GAP commercial and that was only Steven and Joe. It rocked because it had Steven singing and playing a bass drum and playing harmonica and Joe playing slide guitar; very raw.
Everything they have done since that is overproduced and highly polished...NOT what blues based music is supposed to be.

And yeah aerosmith lost my respect when they joined the same stage with britney spears for a superbowl some 5 or 6 years ago.

You "thought"? You don't have a fucking clue. Walk This Way came out in 1975, and ALOT of classic AS stuff came out after that. Their first "commercial" album wasn't released until 1987. So get your facts straight.
