Reunited ONSLAUGHT Confirmed For U.K.'s BLOODSTOCK FESTIVAL
- Jan. 4, 2006
The reformed lineup of the classic U.K. thrash outfit ONSLAUGHT have been confirmed for this year's installment of the Bloodstock Festival, set to take place September 29-30 at the Assembly Rooms in Derbyshire, England. Also scheduled to perform at the festival are PRIMAL FEAR, MACHINE MEN, OMNIUM GATHERUM, DIED SMILING, ENEMY UNKNOWN, BEYOND AFTERLIFE and STEEL TORMENTOR. About 25 bands in total are expected to appear at the event.
As previously reported, ONSLAUGHT are continuing work on the material for their new studio album, "Killing Peace", tentatively due later in the yeart via an as-yet-undetermined label. The band's current lineup includes bassist James Hinder, guitarist Nige Rockett, drummer Steve Grice, vocalist Sy Keeler and the group's latest addition, guitarist Alan Jordan (ex-MIRROR MIRROR, FRANKENSTEIN).
ONSLAUGHT recorded three albums in the late 1980s — including the underrated "In Search of Sanity" (1989, Polydor), featuring ex-GRIM REAPER frontman Steve Grimmett — before calling it a day.

I forgot all about this band. Good to see old school bands still around.

Get Steve Grimmett back and I may give it a listen. In Search of Sanity was awesome. But if this new one sounds anything like the other two albums, it's definitely gonna suck... oh well...
