Management: SLIPKNOT Drummer 'Not Available' To Fill In For ANTHRAX's BENANTE

A SLIPKNOT management representative has told BLABBERMOUTH.NET that SLIPKNOT drummer Joey Jordison "is not available" to fill in for ANTHRAX's Charlie Benante for the last couple of dates on ANTHRAX's U.S. tour while Benante and his wife await the birth of their first child. It is not presently clear if Benante or another temporary replacement will sit behind the kit for the last three shows of the tour. More information will be made available soon.
Remaining ANTHRAX tour dates:
Jan. 18 - Boulder, CO @ Fox Theater
Jan. 20 - San Francisco, CA @ The Pound SF Outdoors
Jan. 21 - Hollywood, CA @ The Avalon
According to a posting on ANTHRAX's official web site, Benante is scheduled to take part in two signing sessions this wekend at the 2006 Winter NAMM show (National Association of Music Merchants), which takes place at the Anaheim Convention Center in Anaheim, California. Benante is expected to appear at the Tama booth at noon and at the Paiste booth around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 22.

jordison's a decent drummer... i think he would've filled in just fine... too bad for people who wanted to see the fully reunited lineup if charlie doesn't make it... maybe lars can drag his tin cans in and fill in for those shows? :P

What are you talking about? Even though I dislike his band, you must give Joey Jordison some credit for being a more than capable drummer! C'mon, I mean he toured with SATYRICON and played with METALLICA live once so,...
Still Slipknot sucks balls and so does the Anthrax Reunion shit!

slipknot sucks and joey is nothing special, but this is anthrax we are talking about, not dream theater or strapping young lad, I am sure he could play it just fine. joey jordison is of course way overrate by the typical slipknot fan that has never even heard of virgil donati or even buddy guy, but he is still a decent professional musician, just one playing in a pop band that pays
