Former GUNS N' ROSES Drummer STEVE ADLER Answers Fan Questions

Former GUNS N' ROSES and current ADLER'S APPETITE drummer Steven Adler recently answered several fan questions via his official fan site, StevenAdler.net. Read the question-and-answer session at this location. ADLER'S APPETITE — which also features Chip Z'Nuff ( ENUFF Z'NUFF; bass), Sheldon Tarsha (vocals), Michael Thomas ( BEAUTIFUL CREATURES; guitar), and JT Longoria ( IZZY STRADLIN; guitar) — have just kicked off a six-week European tour. South American/Mexican dates will follow in late March/early April.

why is that a bad thing? i love bands that get back together, GNR have some good songs. i hope this aint a " lets hate a band because my friend does " trend. SLASH is a good guitarist. i like GNR, i aint a fan of slash but they got some pretty good songs to listen to.

I Guess Mr. RuR9.0 is in a band that makes the best damn music on the planet if he thinks that GNR isn't a great rock n roll band and that he'd be the next biggest thing. GnR may not be your deal, but I think they, as a group, have such great talent put together.. Yeah, I said it, AS A GROUP... NOT INDIVIDUALY. Just out of curiosity, can you list your favorite bands?

FANSITE : SHANE asks "Is Adler's Appetite all GNR songs? And if so how close to Axl does your singer sound?
CHIP : He's Axl's illegitimate cousin, are you kidding me?! The guys got pipes! Very strong! We take this gig seriously, we're playing with a fucking legend! These guys are pros! We got the cat from Beautiful Creatures, I've been in E'Nuff Z'nuff for 15 - 20 years. We've all been doing this for a long time. We're not new to this rodeo. We're playing these songs as close to the record as we can, and we are proud to be playing with Steven.
STEVEN : I'm proud to be playing with my boys!
CHIP : (Sheldon) is one of the last of the great frontman! There's not a lot of cats that can get out there and sing and just front the show. It's a lost art in Rock n' Roll. Weiland's one of the only guys out there. (Sheldon) does a fine job, and Axl would not be disrespected, or would not look upon it and frown.
STEVEN : Yeah…!
FANSITE : POPCORNROSE asks : "Did you ever think about getting back with Duff, Slash, and Izzy to form a new band with new songs and a new singer?"
STEVEN : That would be nice, but the main goal is to get the five of us brothers back together. That's the main goal!
FANSITE : Any last words for your fans?
STEVEN : I'm just thankful and appreciate and love all the fans and I'm lookin' forward to meetin' each and everyone of you at each of these shows comin' up.
CHIP : May the best thing that happened to everybody last year, be the worst thing that happens this year! My name is Chip Z'Nuff..
STEVEN : My name is Steven Adler..

It's true what Steven says about Matt Sorum, i NEVER liked Matt in GnR, he just does not fit, he puts no effort or style in the songs, just plays them like a drum machine would, no feeling whatsoever.
I always have the feeling that even thought Matt is dependable, GNR and now VR, they are just gigs to him, I mean, when have you ever heard a song co-written by him, in any of the bands he has played?
Steven might be an ex-crackhead but at least he had his own style and contributed to the songs even when he got no credit. GNR was a band, everyone helped out in writing songs, if this wasnt true, then how come there hasn't been a GnR album in more than a decade?
