Former MISFITS Frontman To Hit The Road In Support Of WEST MEMPHIS THREE

On March 31, 2006, former MISFITS frontman Michale Graves will spearhead a two-month-long national campaign to promote Damien Echols' new book, "Almost Home". The tour, tentatively dubbed "Almost Home 2006", will hit 55 cities across the country. Commented Michale, "It is my intent to reach out to as many people as I can, as so many others have in the past, using the media, the Internet, spoken word, music and activism to give Damien's words and story a greater chance of being heard and continue this fight for truth and justice where there has been none so far. I urge everyone to help, contribute and get involved in this anyway that they can." For over 10 years Damien has been an inmate on death row for a crime many believe he did not commit. He, along with Jason Baldwin and Jessie Misskelley, have become known as The West Memphis Three, and though the story of their arrest and conviction is widely known, most people don't know the real people behind the soundbites and the TV news segment clips. "Almost Home" is a message to you from a faraway place. It is a message from a 12-foot by 9-foot cell in a cinderblock building surrounded by coils of razor wire in the middle of a dirt field in Arkansas. A young man named Damien Echols wrote it and it chronicles his life and his experiences in a way that clearly illuminates him, not as a monster, but as a human being. I don't really know anything about Graves, but I know about the West Memphis Three. Any help they can get will be appreciated.
Henry Rollins really went all out on the "26 Songs" cd that had Black Flag covers and benefited the WM3. You all should check it out - it's got Lemmy, Tom Araya, Iggy Pop and a bunch of cool fuckers on it.
Research the West Memphis Three and see how wrong our justice system can be...

i saw that movie and it really got to me and changerd my outlookk on a lot of things. I HIGHLY recommend this film along with that jacxkass movie. I imitated a stunt off of the movie cause it was funny except i thin k the guy lit a bottle rocket in his butt and not a firecracker like i didand that really fucking hurt

I watched Paradise Lost, and then the sequel. I honestly don't know what to think about Damien. I don't know if they WM3 should be freed, but there should be more investigation.

There was not one shred of physical evidence connecting them to the crimes. No blood at the crime scene. The bodies were found MILES from where they were last seen yet the WM3 didn't even have a bike between them, much less a car to move said bodies. The skin on one kid's penis was literally flayed off yet we're supposed to believe that this feat could be done by 3 teens in the woods in the dark of night, something an expert pathologist said HE could do ONLY in his lab with all his tools. The father becomes a suspect and when they go to examine his teeth to match with bitemarks, he conveniently loses his teeth because of medication he was taking (never mind that losing one's teeth was NOT one of the effects of the drug he was taking). Too much shit going on there to talk about here. Watch the documentaries. I'll have to check out that book that was mentioned.
BTW, I'm not a Misfits fan but that was a cool thing for this guy to do.

"Punk Rock Is Dead" is great and so are the Misfits, with or without Danzig or Graves.
PS: Yeah I disagree with his political views, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying his music or from applauding him when he does the right thing.

And I can honestly say I believe they did not do it.The wrong people are in jail for this crime.I hesitate to blame Mark Byers for this but I do find it very strange that he gave the filmmakers a knife which later tested positive for not only HIS blood but the child's as well.

I seen the movie and I think they're guilty. They killed that little boy and I think it's ridiculous that there are benefits and help for the murderes. What about the a benefit for the family of the victim?
Another case of folks jumping on a band wagon. Che Guevara, West Memphis 3, Bush haters and trendy things.
And It can't and won't be me. Because I stay away from sketchy shit and acting a fool. You can be a metal head without being an idiot.

how can ANYONE believe that they did it? thats about the dumbest thing i've ever heard. There is absolutely NO real evidence against them. Not only is there a knife used by John Mark Byers(With Chris's blood on it), but he was also missing for a 2 hour period while 'searching' for his son. then he stopped looking. If you were a father that loved your kid you wouldn't stop the search. and if you have seen the Paradise Lost movies you would know that he acted up in front of the cameras. which is an extremely obvious way to try to get the blame away from him. if i had anything to say about it, i'd say it is that snaggletoothed son of a bitch and the black guy they found in Bojangles restrooms.

I really do not think you of all people should be talking about the case as you don't even know how many victims there were. (There were three just to let you know.) I have been a supporter of all 6 victims in this case (if you count the three in prison) for some time now. I became involved in this case because I wanted to see justice served for all the victims. For me that inculdes the three that rot in prison as well as the three that rot in the ground! This was a crime that NEVER should have happed. Whoever took the lives of Christopher Byers, Michael Moore, and Stevie Branch deserve to have so much worse done to them than just lethal injection! Because it was easier to pick out a social outcast and bring down with him two other teenagers, we may never even get to know who really murdered those three little boys. And that is beyond unfortunate. But I do know that Damien Echols, Jessie Misskelley, and Jason Baldwin did not murder them. At least Michale Graves has the balls to stand up and say!

i think it would be a good thing for it to go to Memphis or West Memphis. Maybe they would realize they were wrong. It's not likely, but one can hope.
